Crosby Mint Farm (from their recent newsletter)
Please Help Preserve a Farm - Only 8 days left!
"In addition to having what appears to be the oldest surviving still in the country, the Crosby Farms operation also appears to be the oldest mint farm in continuous operation in the United States. The key word here is "continuous" - that it has cultivated and processed mint since J.E. Crosby purchased the property before World War I." Ephraim K. Smith, President; Heritage Production, Inc.
This farm is being foreclosed on and the redemption period is over on August 14th, 2009, the first day of the St. Johns 25th Annual Mint Festival! The bank will own the farm and will be in a position to start eviction proceedings. With enough inventory to pay the debt, $325,000 worth of mint essential oil products needs to be sold by August 14th. Any purchase will go towards that goal.
Please visit the Crosby Mint Farm, or call
1-800-345-9068 EXT. 101. Any purchase will go towards our goal!!!! Check the Headlines...Clinton County News and the Lansing State Journal.
