Guests: Eric Toensmeier and James R. Norman
Thinking like a Garden: From Permaculture to Profits with Eric Toensmeier. Feeding the Databeast: Looking at Financial Reform Legislation. Greasing the Wheels of Economic Warfare with James Norman author of The Oil Card.
A s Spring’s arrival brings some welcome rays of sunshine to the Northern Hemisphere many are turning to their gardens to plant more than just flowers this season. As the thaw has yet to come to the economy many are seeing their yards in a whole new light.

In a special extended edition of the Solari Report this month, Catherine spoke with Eric Toensmeier, permaculturalist and author of Perennial Vegetables: From Artichoke to ‘Zuiki’ Taro, a Gardener’s Guide to Over 100 Delicious, Easy-to-Grow Edibles.

Here they discuss permaculture, what it is and how it can help you build wealth— whether improving the fertility of your home and landscape, your schools and community, or creating new opportunities for local business and investment.

The Wall Street Reform & Consumer Protection Act currently before the Senate is a long over-due attempt to prevent the abuses of Wall Street that led to the financial meltdown of 2008 from happening again. From a recent Money and Markets segment, here Catherine shares her concerns over this 1,700 page behemoth and finds the devil is once again in the details.

To understand where we’re heading sometimes it’s important to know where we’ve been. To provide the long view, Catherine spoke with James Norman, author of The Oil Card: Global Economic Warfare in the 21st Century. In this segment they discuss the volatility and uncertainty in commodities and financial markets brought on as a result of economic warfare, and how this manipulation of the markets brought down the Soviet Union.
