Solari Health Series: The Inspiration to Take Action with Jennifer Walters

“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” ~ Rumi
By Catherine Austin Fitts
It is my pleasure to introduce our new series: the Solari Health Series. This coming week, we publish my interview with host Jennifer Walters, BSN-RN, PHN, MFA.
Jennifer and I have been talking about the “aha” moments in our life when we realized that we had to take charge of our health—and we had to become exceptionally discerning users of a health care system in which therapies are increasingly dictated by the government and the pharmaceutical and insurance industries. I asked Jennifer to share some of her most important “aha” moments, including the story about when her son’s vaccine injury years ago set her on a much more independent path.
Jennifer is a registered nurse with experience working in hospitals and with a wide variety of patients, including in the areas of labor and delivery, home health care, and patient advocacy. A review of her resume tells you that this is a person who is literate in everything from the full gamut of homemade kitchen remedies to the most sophisticated procedures and lab testing that medicine can offer. Most importantly, Jennifer is a mother responsible for family nutrition and her children’s health.
Whether we are learning to take better care of ourselves or how to navigate the medical war zones in our lives, staying healthy has become an exceptionally important but complicated task. The more we can learn about how to do so—and, as much as possible, take care of our health in ways that are practical and economic—the better.
I and the Solari team are very grateful that Jennifer has agreed to take this task on. Please take this opportunity to welcome her to our team and give her your ideas and feedback on what you would like her to cover in the Solari Health Series.
This is the last week of the month, so there is no Money & Markets or Ask Catherine this week. E-mail your questions for Ask Catherine or post at the Money & Markets commentary for the following week here.
Talk to you Thursday!

I chose to stop paying for health insurance at $1000 a month. I’m retired and my options were narrow for health care. My non-profit United Methodist organization told me I wasn’t able to purchase their health care insurance in my state of Oklahoma (after 30+ years of service and being a paying member for those years) so when I learned the exorbitant cost of finding a health care option, I chose to opt out and find a doctor on my own. I need help with this choice and want to know the ramifications of being “outside” the health care system.
Bill, I am looking into Medishare etc…also AAA .. if you find any other options you think I should look at, lmk. appreciate you opening this up as a topic…. as we are deep into this new era..
thank you,
BIll- The ramifications? I guess that would be that you are on your own, your own boss. Not sure that is a ramification…I find that like everything to do with health, what you plan to do is a personal choice. What do you need and want? For example: My oldest sister has seizures due to a birth injury in 1955, she has medicare now at 65 but the doctors are terrible, so she has the medicare as a “backup for hospital stays” it pays 80% in hospital. Next, she has a “concierge” doctor, she pays a monthly fee and that includes all care, he even has privileges at the local hospital and will meet us there in case of a Grand Mal seizure or broken hip (God forbid, but we save for rainy days and hospitals are great with payment plans)). As for medications, we use a coupon service (GoodRx.com is one of them) and it makes her medication less expensive than under her medicare plan. For her brain scans we call around for the best price to all the MRI places, you would be surprised how many like to get paid cash or even cash “on time” instead of the headache of a insurance payment. I had foot surgery in a cash-pay surgery center, it was nice, everything was discussed up front, I got to go home to recover, I had a nurse for 6 hours till my husband came home. I paid for it all in a matter of 3 months payment plan. Even with that I still saved money from the health plan I dumped. It’s just an example of what we do, I am not giving medical advice. Be sure to read Catherine’s Blast from the Past on Health Insurance, it will get you started on the planning for Trauma care and looking into Share-Care plans like MediShare.com or Samaritan Ministries. “Our plan” at The Solari Health Series is to give you lots of ideas and sources to navigate the system. I have to say, dumping our HMO was the best decision ever. It doesn’t mean you are dumping the doctor/patient relationship, I think it means you are saving it. Stay tuned. I hope that helped. -Jennifer
Very helpful! Thank you! See you next week

You might want to consider a policy on AAA for car and travel accidents – trauma is where the hospitals can come in handy.
I used Samaritan Ministries – it provided a floor. There are additional groups like it.
I am with you. Not paying for the ridiculous system was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Wonderful advice, Catherine! Thank you!
Thank you to Catherine & Jennifer! This was…I’m speechless and still processing. I guess “profound” is the right word. I thank God everyday that my poor sharecropping grandmother and grandfather could not afford healthcare and had home remedies. It gave my mother a significant distrust in the medical system except for emergency services. My now 22 year old son never completed his scheduled vaccines because of my skepticism. I began his vaccination at 2years of age because I had read Dr. Oz’s alternative vaccination schedule which was quite popular when my son was born. Due to his severe allergies and asthma at age 2, I did not pursue vaccines for him after his first MMR. After months of multiple medications for asthma and allergies, my 2 year old son, with dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep and oxygen said to me, “I just feel sad, I feel sad all day.” It broke me. I threw out every medication he had been prescribed and never looked back. My bulldog attitude toward research and my innate sense that God did not put my baby on this earth to suffer and struggle to breathe seems similar to those moms who saw their children regress with vaccine injury. I sought out Chinese herbalists, acupuncturist, I moved from New Jersey to Texas. Turns out it was the heavy toxic mold exposure in our damp NJ basement that was the culprit (I hope you’ll cover how common and deadly mold is and it’s link to chronic inflammatory disease at some point on your health series—Dave Asprey’s ‘Moldy’ documentary was eye opening for me.) My son was thriving in Texas/Oklahoma and only had seasonal episodes with allergies. Many years later, he had reoccurring mold issue in his college dorm his freshman year. It presents, among other things, as depression for him. I found a truly wonderful functional medicine doctor close to where I live. She doesn’t take insurance and her office is chock full of supplements, vitamins, and minerals; many that I’d never heard of. She ran a myriad of blood & urine tests and most importantly talked to us for an hour taking notes on his entire medical history. We began bentonite clay tablets, activated charcoal, B & C vitamins and high magnesium. Between that and dry sauna to get my son sweating and lots of exercise. He was the happiest 19 year old again within two months over summer vacation. Brain fog was gone, depression was gone, and he was thriving again. It’s simply remarkable how debilitating mold can be for some. I’m so grateful for my functional medicine doctor! I look forward to this health series and I hope Catherine & Jennifer both realize how much confidence this type of series brings to subscribers. In a field that has seemed so beyond our control and how long and often the medical community has made patients feel inadequate and incapable of taking charge of their own health, it bolsters and empowers us to be armed with information and ‘actionable intelligence’ to treat ourselves. I feel stalwart now! This is wonderful! Thank you both so much!
Adisha, I am so proud of you! My son (and entire famliy) live on vitamins, charcoal and magnesium! YES, YES, and YES! Mold has horrific side effects to health. The doctors I worked with said the mold/fungus/yeast is there for a reason, usually to eat up other toxins (of course) and since the other types of molds and bacterias are not there to contain it naturally (due to toxins that killed them), it just grows out of control. For my son, the same thing happened in his gut just like overgrowth in a damp basement. Ugh. Getting a handle on yeast was a huge part of my son’s recovery and still can be a ‘yeast beast’ to this day if sugar shows up to the party. 5G and other EMF’s can grow mold as well. Yuck. I remember that documentary! I will watch it again and add Mold to my list. Thank you for you kind words and fabulous ideas. Hug your son, and give yourself a pat on the back, YOU are one smart Mama!
Yes, mold is a serious problem that sneaks up on so many people. Great idea for a Solari Report!
David Asprey from “BulletProof” has done extensive research on Mold poisoning. He is a deep well to drink from.
I never comment.Ever. But after watching this I had to say thank you. To you, Jennifer and also Catherine. This interview completely validates every person who has questioned the status quo in medicine and went their own way to protect their family.Thank you for your bravery, your knowledge and your heart. I also must say that over the last 2 years, solari has really gone above and beyond with actionable intelligence. I now trust every gut impulse I have that goes against the mainstream. Thank you.
Jennifer, Amazing reply. You should comment more. ; ) Thank you for your support and encouragement. Your comment reminded me of a Meme I posted during covid lockdowns that went ‘viral’ in many different forms, that said:
As a mom of vax injured child
I WILL NEVER COMPLY.
Threaten to make my life harder?
FAT CHANCE
Shun me from society?
ALREADY HAPPENED.
I have been fighting alone for years,
UNTIL NOW.
Reinforcements have arrived.
#HoldTheLine
The Solari Famliy has been my light in the darkness. You are never alone. We can do this! Thank you. Jennifer
Thank you, Jennifer!! And you are right: reinforcements have arrived. Thank you for joining Solari and for what you are doing. Greetings from Europe!
I know personally the truth spoken in these comments. I pray for each of you and your children to find the treatments that work and what you need to get them. Jennifer Walters is a true blessing and cares 100% in helping bring light where there has been so much darkness. God bless her and her family for standing up for all of us.
Thank you Debbie! Welcome to the Solari Family! You are a Godsend to me & my family.
Hi Jennifer, welcome and thanks for sharing your experiences, i was very moved. I do not have children in this life but am so awed by the parenting choices that have to be made. So few people are really understanding the ramifications. I so look forward to learning more in this new health series.. thank you to both you and Catherine
Beth, Thank you! I am going to do my best for you. Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Jennifer,
I wanted to mention one of the most life supporting modalities I have been actively benefiting from the last 5 years is Ayurveda. Ayurveda means Wisdom of Life. It is 1000’s of years old with origins in India. There are many resources that you can search. The basic premise is Know Thy Self and trust your inner authority rather than externalizing authority. The subject is vast but I wanted to let you know as it may be an interesting resource to consider as part of this very vast topic.
Hi Bill, I am following these comments you shared, i am in my 64th year and have always had high deductible/major medical but am so tired these last years of the 10k a year for emergency only.. i basically pay my out of pocket health. I am grateful I can say all this as my health has been good. Next year can go on medicare but still plan on using for emergency only and pay out of pocket. I am ready now to get out! So keep me posted on your findings. Like Jennifer and Catherine have indicated, I will read/research the resources provided. Thanks for your post as we are all searching for ways to be sensible and wise when so many of the choices given make no sense!!
I am so happy you are doing this series. My questions are related to finding alternative type medicine providers.
Laurie, I will add that to my list! Integrative medicine, ND’s, DO’s, Homeopathic Docs, Chiropractors, you name it, I have have picked their brains for my son’s health recovery. I will add them into my list of research I hope to do. The best thing about the insurance free health care search is the amount of alternative practitioners that show up in our path! Have a great weekend! -Jennifer
