Money & Markets

Statesmanship out, Salesmanship in

In the final Money & Markets episode of 2025, Catherine and John provide a comprehensive analysis of the year’s financial and political landscape. Recorded on December 10th and published on December 11th, they review the top Solari Report interviews, with ‘War for Bankocracy’ topping the list. Key discussions include monetary policy transparency, economic mismanagement, and the concerning rise of Dollar Tree shoppers from higher income households. They also analyze government policies on privacy, CBDCs, and showcase the escalating geopolitical tensions, such as the US-Ukraine operations and India’s weakening Western ties. Additionally, this episode highlights challenges in the tech and entertainment industries through the proposed Netflix-Warner Brothers merger, and addresses societal issues, including ultra-processed foods and surveillance technology. Closing with Solari’s in-house activities and holiday suggestions, this episode is a must-watch for understanding the intricate interplay of economics, politics, and society as we approach 2026.

  1. Yes, I did know about those men dying on the Titanic! Huge appreciation for you two and the whole Solari Team! The monthly $30 price for Solari is money well spent; the intel is worth millions. Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

  2. Musk made a comment this week that I thought was significant :
“Would you do DOGE again knowing what you know now?”
“They really want the money to keep flowing. Um, so if you stop it from flowing, there’s like a very strong reaction to to stopping the money flowing.”
“We were a little bit successful. We were somewhat successful. We stopped a lot of funding that really just made no sense, that was entirely wasteful,” he said. Miller if he would go back to lead the organization again, he said: “No, I don’t think so.”

  3. In this interview Alex Krainer and Harley Schlanger propose that the Venezuela situation is actually a conflict between Trump and the CIA, and the “showdown” with Venezuela is really Trump vs. the CIA.

They claim the CIA is working against Trump and the CIA, MI6, and City of London are tied to global drug-trade funding.

They argue the CIA and MI6 run or profit from drug trafficking and the drug money ends up in offshore banking havens and City of London banks and is then re-leveraged to fund “nefarious activities” and global destabilization.

They claim Trump sent U.S. Navy ships to the Caribbean to block this “drug-money pipeline” and the aircraft carriers in the Caribbean are not really about counter-narcotics. Instead, this is to intimidate drug traffickers, gather intelligence from panicked traffickers making calls, disrupt offshore banking flows connected to the “City of London”, cut off funding for British/Western elites supposedly undermining democracy worldwide

They frame this as a major geopolitical struggle with Trump and loyal military/intel officers
vs. the CIA + MI6 + City of London + globalist banksters.

    1. Andrew, I would say that is probably the best explanation on why Trump has the USS Gerald Ford station off the coast of Venezuela. Gives new meaning why Donald Trump changed the name of Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America. Looks to me he has relived the Monroe Doctrine and issued a warning that the Western Hemisphere will be dominated by America and issued a warning to any infilitrators that probably are working with the CIA. The relationships among Venezuela +CIA+MI6+City of London+The Crown+banksters may not just be about drug-money flow but also include human trafficing and rigging elections. If it does include rigging elections with the CIA than I expect Preident Trump to declare in the near future a National Election Emergency. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Harmeet Dhillon, has been playing hardball with States that are not sharing their voter roles and with the 2026 elections that far away it is time for the States to comply.
There has been lots of attention about the Southern border, but very little attention to the Northern border. I expect more Northern border Governors of United States to be outed with their corruption. And there has been lots of attention towards Israel and it’s influence with Wash DC, but very little attention on the influence of The Crown and City of London and MI6.
We are living in very interesting times, a time of Tectonic plates shifting. It is a great time to be alive and witness the events as they unfold. The Ones that have played in the shadows for decades and now being forced into the daylight to reveal themselves as they are becoming desperate.
Prayer is good, prayer with repentance is better, prayer with repentance and fasting is best.

  4. The USA ended sound money on June 24, 1968. https://www.usmint.gov/learn/history/historical-documents/treasury-publishes-procedures-exchanging-silver-certificates-for-silver-bullion

That was the last day you could trade a monopoly dollar for a real silver dollar. Silver dollars cost 51 monopoly dollars today.

I show my 1880 Morgan dollar when I pay with monopoly money. It is beautiful even after 145 years. It makes a nice sound when I drop it. That is only one reason why it is called sound money.

  5. You mentioned the great poisoning, Catherine. Any thoughts on why core body temperature is dropping? It’s dropped from 98.6 to 97.9 in recent years. And probably more.

      1. Thanks for your interest Marilyn, and Ermis for providing Marilyn these excellent publicly available resources.
You might also notice the rise in levothyroxine prescriptions, and the general lack of public awareness of the topic. Drawing from my professional experience the health care system is set on blaming patients for obesity, and any research that calls that false narrative into question gets little exposure.

    1. The endocrinologist Broda Barnes thoroughly documented the drop on body temperature on his patients during the ’60s and ’70s. Later, Dr. Ray Peat found a causal link between stress hormones and reduced thyroid function which results in a drop in body temperature. Peat also identified a host of environmental toxins that also greatly suppress thyroid function; the biggest culprit is polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which are essentially all kinds of seed oils (sunflower, rapeseed, soy, etc).

It is important to mention that the body temperature is the most important biomarker of metabolism function; the lower the temperature, the slower the metabolism. A slow metabolism means low energy, accumulation of body fat, brain fog and, eventually, a wide range of degenerative symptoms that modern medicine calls “diseases”.

A nice little article on the great fall of body temperature: https://t3uncoupled.substack.com/p/986f

      1. I followed Ray Peat starting about three years ago.
I read and listened to just about everything I could find.
I think he was spot on. And you quoted him perfectly.

Here is one back at you.
These three hormones strengthen the cardio vascular system,
balance hormones, are anti cancer, anti stress.
Proper thyroid function is also supported. And
therefore, with an increase in thyroid function away from
hypo thyroid, they tend to raise body temperature.

Ray Peat could say it way better than me.
May he rest in peace. Merry Christmas, Steven

        1. Indeed, Peat’s principles and advice were a game-changer for me. He was one of the very few in the health space that had understood in such a degree how energy guides structure, and surely the only one that had found such effective ways of correcting and improving it.

          Merry Christmas!

  6. The Franklin Turtle cartoon, why? Maybe they’re just keeping the dem/rep hatometer fully charged. Keeping us at each other. Robert Malone reposted them…
