One of the major lessons learned from the first Solari Builders course is the need to teach people how to recognize the independent, pro-decentralization team: self-supporting, genuinely productive individuals who build enterprises with integrity. This means understanding what drives their sovereignty, and also recognizing how the centralizing team tries to trade it away by dangling titles, grants, and prestige.

  1. Guilty of believing my husband and I have zero assests. This has me rethinking that our little Charlotte Mason farm learning program (We can’t say school because we live in California and we’re a medical freedom safe haven) could be profitable and it could outlive us. We left public ed. during the plandemic and started a private membership association. Our posture has been that we are in the business of service but I would like to build something that can benefit my children and grandchildren as well. I am not an investor however, and wouldn’t know the first place to look. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    1. The goal would be to build the PMA into something with real equity – valuable content and intellectual capital, an ongoing cash flow, a good network and a demonstrated record of helping and adding value to people. Part of this is building a team that can run it and pass it down on an enduring basis.

      1. It takes time. I started investigating at 38, I’m 60 now. It’s taking 20 years to get to something going and it will be a lovely business to pass on in a decade. So when Solari says it will take 30-35 years to build wealth, they are correct. Tuttle forth!

  2. My best investment was becoming part of the Solari world. So much practical things to be found here we all can do. Thanks to have put it in one big overview package. Life is one big beautifull interesting growing learning experience with the right tools at our vingertips. Thanks for providing so many and still in being creative in diseminating them. The builders course was a stroke of genius. Humanities progeny is our priceless future for all in the here and now as tomorrow al over the world.

    1. I have been following Catherine for about 15 years and over that time I have learned more from her than from probably anybody else in the world. Though Catherine I have gained an understanding of the way the world works which has helped me to avoid making many mistakes and bad decisions. I do not exaggerate when I say that that Catherine has saved my life.
During Covid I lost everything. I was in despair and listening to Catherine gave me hope and helped me keep my sanity.
I am reminded of a scene in the film “Bucket List” in which the character Casey, played by Morgan Freeman, says that the ancient Egyptians had a belief about death. When their souls got to the entrance to Heaven, the guards asked two questions. Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not. ‘Have you found joy in your life?’ ‘Has your life brought joy to others?’
Through the many things I have learned from Catherine and her guests over the years I can now answer both of those questions with a resounding “yes”.
I owe Catherine a debt of gratitude that I will never be able to repay.
      Bless you, Catherine.

  3. This is a great conversation, the back and forth, brings the best of the thinking to the foreground. The briefing slides just add more! I found I was taking notes even backing up to listen again. During the pandemic we also redeemed the time, doubled the business. Towards the end, there’s a discussion on doing and investing in what you are investing in, this is very true. Doing what you love makes a difference. Know what you’re investing in, what it’s worth and why you are keeping it. The slides are fantastic.

    1. William, I am so glad you found this one useful. Sometimes, I am never quite sure if it is getting across and then you say this and I think, whew. It is helping! Catherine

      1. Absolutely! Both useful and definitely getting across. Would that I had had this education years ago. My original major was economics at Hillsdale College, but I sensed useless BS, so left and switched to music. What Ricardo said about Richard Werner? 100% agree. His lecture—Understanding Money and the Economy—was the economics education I had been looking for 45 years ago. Better late than never. Very grateful. Thanks so much.
