FYI, I use a portable handheld scanner called a “Magic Wand by VuPoint Solutions” that I bought over 15 years ago instead of a scanning app on my smart phone. The wand scans in PDF or JPEG format directly into a computer using a cable or a removable SD card. I bought about 5 of them way back when and they work like a charm. Attached is a link to a few of them for sale on eBay. The company that makes them appears to not have any in stock. The newer versions that I see around scan to an app using bluetooth or wifi but, some come with a cable and port for an SD card too.
I find that most people who sell on eBay also have stores on Facebook marketplace and even local adds or even their own online stores if you do a little digging. I don’t buy directly off of eBay if I can help it, I message to meet up with the seller and use cash for the purchase. Hope this helps!
