Beware Social Media Imposters and Scammers Pretending to Be Catherine or Solari

March 24, 2026

“Imposter scams come in many varieties but work the same way: a scammer pretends to be someone you trust….”

~ Federal Trade Commission

Last year, we published a warning about scammers creating fake accounts on Facebook pretending to be Solari or Catherine Austin Fitts. At the time, we reminded our followers that we are not on Facebook at all.

Solari is on X (@solari_the), and various entities have been impersonating Catherine there and on other social media platforms. In some cases, we have been able to get the fake accounts taken down, but in one case, we have been unsuccessful. The scammer in question is quite sophisticated and has been using Catherine’s name and photo and Solari’s branding and copyrighted materials without authorization to mislead the public and gain credibility.

  • Though various people have reported this particular account as an imposter, X has been unresponsive.
  • When we report copyright strikes (such as the Solari logo and Catherine’s profile picture), X listens. However, no matter how many copyright strikes this imposter or any other imposter gets (one recent week, there were 10), X does not remove the account itself.
  • The scammer has even paid for a “blue tick” verification badge to give the further impression that the account is legitimate.
  • The scammer has also blocked Solari on its fake account so that we cannot warn people directly.
  • In addition, the scammer has gone the extra mile by setting up fake email addresses, phone numbers, and groups.

This imposter is pushing various scams, including heavily promoting a fake “WealthWise” website and a fake investment circle. Unfortunately, we know of at least one instance where a person thought the account was Catherine’s, paid $500 through the imposter’s account for what she thought was a consultation with Catherine, and got scammed out of the $500. In fact, Catherine does not offer individual consultations, and any offerings by Solari would be made solely through the Solari.com website. Do not send money intended for Solari other than through our website.

We continue to urge consumers of social media to be very discriminating, and we reiterate our warning to question “too good to be true” financial investments.

If you are a subscriber and have a question for Catherine, the best and only way to submit your question is via Ask Catherine & the Solari Team. Please ignore scammers promising a “direct” email or personal investment advice.
