One of our network members is keen on producing a bumper sticker to express our opposition to bailouts and the institutions engineering them. We could use your help in coming up with a pithy slogan for a great bumper sticker. So far, we have considered:
Delete Wall Street
Delete the Fed
No Bail, No Bail Outs
Jail Time, Not Bail Outs
Refunds, Not Bail Outs
Where is the Money?
Where Would Jesus Bank?
Would Jesus do Bail Outs?
Who Would Jesus Bail Out?
As you can see, we need your brainpower!
Dump The Wall Street Chumps
Wall Street = C.I.A.
Wall Street = Highway Robbery
Wall Up The Wall Street Crooks
Gone with Greed
Fed-up with the Fed
Capitalism = Socialism
End Corporate Welfare
Power was the reason for the treason.
Profit was the reason for the treason.
What’s next? ‘War of the Worlds?

Catherine Austin Fitts thinks that I inspired the idea of the bumper stickers. I don’t think I did. I suspect it was God’s idea because He always represents truth and justice and is chagrined by its absence. Anyway, all of the submissions have been JUST WONDERFUL. You really out-did yourselves. It is very, very difficult to choose favorites from among these outstanding, worthy, uniformly fine selections. What bumper sticker criteria do we use? Well…. They have to be short or the words won’t fit on the bumper sticker. It seems to me it would be really great if they raise consciousness or educate owners of passing cars in some way.
For these reasons I am partial to the following: End Corporate Welfare, Ron Paul Was Right!, Bank Local Not Corporate, Where Would Jesus Bank?, Impeach Paulson! I give special mention to We The People which invariably arouses something (needed at this time) within us.
All of the bumper sticker ideas have been just fabulous. Some which are particularly worthy of mention for cleverness are: Jail Not Bail, Bail Boats Not Banks, Robin Hood for President and Jail em’-don’t bail em! One which hits a bullesye but would never fit on a bumper sticker was submitted by by Tsu: 700 billion divided by 350 million is 20 million dollars each.
It would be fun to see if such bumper stickers could be made in our local communities and if we could affix them to the back of our cars. Perhaps we could generate small, local businesses with them. If nothing else, they would keep these concepts visible in the highway of American thought–whether we enter it from the left or the from the right. It may take me some time but I will attempt to find out how viable this idea is in my own community and get back with you all. Again, thanks so much for the mirth of doing this in these troubled times. Steph
