“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~ Albert Einstein

The Metanoia Series focuses on personal transformation, growth, and self-actualization. In this interview, I speak with Debra Branda-Canady, an entrepreneur, mystic, and Reiki Master. She shares her journey from organized religion to ancient earth-based spirituality, discussing how she was introduced to energy healing and how she learned to embrace the subtle forces around us.
Please join us as we explore the process of personal expansion and the deeper potentialities available to us.
For Let’s Go to the Movies, Catherine recommends a 2020 documentary, The Truffle Hunters, portraying a different type of life that you may actually find very inspiring.
This is the last week of the month, so there is no Money & Markets. E-mail your questions for Ask Catherine for the first week of October or post them at the Money & Markets commentary here.
Talk to you on Thursday!
Terrific interview, great timing for additional tool box tools for self help and to help others. Chiropractors I know use energy modalities to energetically communicate with the client’s body/spirit/..soul. I would not have it any other way.
Whatever modality gets us to “body.spirit” sensitivity or said another way perhaps being open to the Holy Spirit sharing health messages with our health practitioners, I’m all for it. I had forgotten Reiki. The hands energy flow…rub your hands together and then brush them over the crown of your head. You can Feel it.lol Solarians!
Debra made me remember all the things I loved about great people in the Philly area.
Listening to this inspired me to get some of the original writings of Mikao Usui
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikao_Usui
Does this go into the science of “BioGeometry” from the works of Ibrahim Karim?
Been studying his work lately and have found it honest and quite intriguing.
All the best, Solari fam ?
THIS IS THE MOST POTENT SYMBOL ON THIS PLANET AFTER OM
This TANTRA symbol was introduced in China by Kerala Tantra master and Kalari grandmaster Bodhi Dharma. From China this symbol went as DARUMA symbol ( Kanji/ Onyomi )
we were born into life every seed every blade of grass every deer and rabbit every thought of love life is great and geting greater and love and the creative force happens to be what the universe is made of but we must stand firm in love because those who would try to copy love instead of loveing will try to destroy us
🙂
We were born into concisnous concisnous was not born from our mind.
Sorcery, mysticism, witchcraft and occult practices are specifically warned against in The Bible.
We are in a spiritual battle, and it pains me to see this promoted here.
Isaiah 47
I have worked as an RN since 1997. I worked in hospice for a chapter in my career and was exposed to Reiki. I became attuned to Reiki Level ll. I enrolled and became Certified in Sound Therapy. The program encompassed Sacred Geometry, Quantum Physics, Toning, Chanting and Mantra, studying various cultures and Religious practices and Music Theory. It is the first semester of a degree program and was intriguing in it’s power.
We are called to walk a narrow path.
The duality of Frequency and energy is an absolute battle throughout history starting in the garden.
I walked through life wearing rose colored glasses and total acceptance of other practices and was lured in for a time.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6: 10
I respectfully disagree, and submit from Mark 9:40:
“For he who is not against us is on our side.”

Heather, the laying on of hands runs throughout the Bible. I just don’t see it this way, particularly as Junious is a very discerning Christian. We need to do much more wellness by ourselves and without pharma. Exploring available methods is worth doing.
Christian mystics speak of our energy centers, and their opening through character development of our thinking, feeling and will forces. After reading Steiner’s Agriculture course 200 times, former EU Demeter president Enzo Nastati was puzzled by certain sections of the lecture which were not clear. He assembled a team, and from what I recall, re-translated a version of the bible from Greek and found if certain words were exchanged with synonyms (modern languages are limited), that slight modification opened up an entirely different meaning, clarifying what was communicated in the Agriculture lecture. Steiner had the intention of delivering three agriculture lectures, but only accomplished one. Enzo’s intention, was to utilize the bible to gain insights into what Steiner would have presented in the following Agriculture lectures. Enzo has developed a method of biodynamics to potentize the preparations much quicker. And to address climate engineering, nano tech, EMF, other poisons/onslaughts we all face today. From my exposure to this work, intention of serving the highest good and concentration are of utmost importance.
Quantum physics has proven the effect thinking/concentration on physical matter. One can use this to do good, and one can use this to do evil. Dr. Joe Dispenza is just one of many pioneering this field and helping thousands.
After a half a career, I fell ill with a severe autoimmune condition. The contributing factors/root causes were determined via muscle response testing. (Focused concentration of root cause while pushing on an indicator muscle) The doctor addressed the root causes, and I live a normal life now. My root causes were a list of about 40 allergies, petrochemical and heavy metal toxicity, stress and malnutrition. We eliminated allergies using NAET, a non-invasive, subtle energy medicine technique requiring proper intention and concentration. After 2 months of frequent treatments, I improved 95%. I was so fascinated, I quit my job and spent 5 years learning NAET. What I learned is this universe is an ocean of energy. One can use it to serve Christ, or one can use it to serve evil. What we find in conventional hospitals is a system of pure evil harvesting humanity, created by the elite.
Those steering society have used energetic techniques for control for centuries and have not allowed simple, effective modalities to help mankind. They intentionally steered us away from our true abilities. Why would we not use our intention to also heal people/animals/earth? I often times see children with issues one can not fathom. They are being poisoned from every direction, they have no chance. Do you think God would prefer they live in misery or die? Or with a few NAET sessions (or appropriate modality) to realign their confused bodily systems with their environment, completely eliminate symptoms and inspire them to grow into productive members of society? I contemplated for a few years the potential harm/spiritual bypassing by using a modality we don’t really understand. But when we dig into Dr. Thomas Cowan’s or Dr. Zach Bush’s discussion of exosomes, we learn that we really don’t understand much about anything.
In my opinion, we are here to help others. If you have the gift of working with the ‘field’ in a moral way, why wouldn’t you? Do you think that perhaps some of the many translations of the bible may have been manipulated to mislead society? Before the religion of scientism took up the reins of control. We are in dire times and we need to use every tool in our quiver. Many sporting and entertainment events on television (tell-a-vision) are actually rituals. Do you watch TV?
I agree. I have found much of the “Christian” opposition to energetic healing to be coming from a place of control as a place of alignment with the teaching of Jesus. I am re-reading the Essence scripts now for this reason.
The teaching of the Essenes , mentioned in the dead sea scrolls is pure Hindu Vedanta. The Qumran Community, the community that lived at Qumran never referred to themselves in their own documents as Essenes. The name is one applied to them by the Roman historian Josephus. These people are ISHA NIS –worshippers of Lord Shiva .
That’s because the same Aryan/Scythian peoples who invaded northern India, producing Vedic civilization, were also fully responsible for the information in DSS. These peoples were not studying Hindu nor worshipping the Hindu pantheon. Nor is Vedanta Hindu, merely preserved in its highly fragmented and degenerate state by the remaining peoples various asiatic locations.
Aryan Invasion Theory (AIT) has been roundly discredited. The Aryans went out of India, with their Swastika symbol ( inscribed on Shiva’s son Ganesha’s palm ) as modern DNA tests have proved, never into India, as contended by Hitler . The Indian Dravidian Anahata Chakra 6 point star has been adopted by Jewish religion. Shiva Lingam stones of ex-pagan temples are the main attraction at Mecca Kaaba , Dome of the rock at Jerusalem and Vatican.
On February 1st, 2008, a report by an Australian researcher, traces the spread of the Indian rat. Indian rat migration, (this research shows) began 20,000 years – a corollary of human travel, and not natural migration. The route of this spread is through the Middle East – and later to Europe. This report focussed on the spread of the rat – and used modern DNA technology to track these migratory movements – with little or no historical comment. (History?! books can be made to lie, rat DNA, not yet..)

That is fascinating. 1300’s biowarfare. Give a rat a lift.
Thank you Michael for your thoughtful and pretty complete response to Heather’s fearful and rigid understanding.
Isaiah 17:1, “Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins”
WELL PUTIN PROTECTS DAMASACUS—HARD LUCK
My attitude is the same as yours. If I encounter a subject that involves things like this I proceed with extreme caution, if at all. I wish there was a better way to evaluate topics like this, but discernment over anything is hard earned. At the very least I don’t think I can go into topics like this until I have a much more solid foundation in terms of e.g. comparative religions.
The creator of Reiki, Mikao Usui was born in Japan in 1865. Wiki describes his background and training as follows: Usui’s ancestors were the once influential Chiba clan and were Hatamoto samurai. According to the inscription on his memorial, Tsunetane Chiba a military commander during the end of the Heian period and the start of the Kamakura period (1180–1230), was one of Usui’s ancestors. In 1551, Toshitane Chiba conquered the city Usui and thereafter all family members acquired that name Usui was raised as a samurai from childhood, specifically in the martial arts techniques of aiki (合氣術).
He created the 5 principles:
Reiki Principle #1 Just for today, I will not worry
Reiki Principle #2 – Just for today, I will not be angry
Reiki Principle # 3: Just for today, I will be grateful
Reiki Principle #4 – Just for today, I will do my work honestly
Reiki Principle #5 – Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing
Thank you for more information. There’s, of course, nothing objectionable to those principles. I’ll research this more and consult with my spiritual community. Ultimately, I’ll need to do a lot more research before I can understand how these principles would fit into a Christian worldview. That being said, I should note that I haven’t seen anything that would clearly label this as occult/sorcery. I’m just very cautious when it comes to subjects such as this. “test everything; hold fast what is good.” -1 Thessalonians 5:21
I have ordered some of the original writings to better understand. I suspect this is a Japanese practice that got a whole lot of distracting stuff – whether religious or esoteric – laid on top of it. I expect it to likely combine techniques for healing both the physical and energetic body – so in a sense a combination of massage, chi gong and manual acupuncture. I am interested because survival in a world where there are no doctors and no traditional health care requires we do as much for ourselves as possible. I use Yuan Gong – if you look at there tradition that was run out of China, they were healing thousands of people from a lot of diseases, including cancer, in a manner that required no hospitals, no doctors and no drugs.
Watch the documentary The Horse Boy – and watch a Magnolian healer partially heal an autistic child by massaging and reworking his electromagnetic field.
I am a Reiki Master, but was trained formally as an afterthought, after having healed someone by simply “getting out of the way” as I call it, and letting all of my guides and angels bring the perfect healer to work through my hands. I pray and do not begin to help someone until I know in my heart that it is not me but Holy Spirit in all of Its forms that will do the work. It is not about ego. It is in the spirit of Paul who said, “I die daily.” I find that Reiki is, as Catherine describes, a ritualistic overlay to the essence of surrendering, in faith and trust, for the sake of another. Yes, definitely test everything. This is, in my humble estimation, a personal journey for us all: One of discovery of the One within each of us, at your own pace and in your own way. BTW, healing must be accepted by the person you offer this to. And it can be reversed by the healed person’s afterthoughts and behavior. As Jesus said, “Go and sin no more.”
