Catherine,
I am pivoting from a long career in software engineering to start a homestead in the country. I know that my life will be incredibly hard for the next decade for a great many reasons. After decades of uncertainty and doubt: for once I have complete clarity that what I am doing is the right thing for myself, my family, and my local community. You are a big reason why and I really cannot thank you enough. Thank you so much for helping me find the courage and resolve to truly put my money where my mouth is.
oh, good. Franklin wrote three books on this transition. You might enjoy. Here is the first https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18108184-at-home-in-dogwood-mudhole
Bitcoin is using energy that would not have been harnessed or wasted such as natural gas flaring and in El Salvador, volcanoes. Catherine, imo, you are on the wrong side of this bitcoin debate. It is freedom much more than the counterfeit Rothschild Kazarian Mafia debt note aka “US Dollar”. Instead of developing countries going in debt to the IMF, they can mine their own bitcoin. 5 years ago, 10 bitcoin cost a total of $10k ($1k each) … that $10k is now worth $470k … it is not good advice to bet against the #1 performing asset over the past 4 years … now I”m actually into $XDC (the layer 1 coin on XDC Network) as I believe the utility coins forming the infrastructure of web 3 will appreciate even more than liquid gold bitcoin … you be you of course but the bitcoin convo gets an eye roll from me every time and I’m 53 years old not a teenager
Thanks for all you do.

I see the benefits of printing your own currency, particularly if you can use it to trade for real things. I would vote in a second for the Treasuries to print currency. We don’t need a debt based system controlled secretly by bankers to create our own currencies. I don’t see much difference between printing this currency as opposed to that currency. I am not anti Bitcoin. I am anti control. An all digital system will be centrally controlled and lead to the end of all human liberty. I appreciate the speculative profits from Bitcoin and how much joy those profits give to the people who have made them.
well said, Catherine. As Ron Paul has said, we need competing currencies.
The Bitcoin network is designed with a hard limit, so will Bitcoin mining asymptotically slow or terminate completely? When that happens, does Bitcoin (with a fixed number of infinitely-divisible coins) become primarily a Layer 0 integrity check / root of trust for all Layer 0 coins? The fixed supply of coins can continue to trade up or down, if they don’t collapse to zero because of a new security vulnerability or the arrival of quantum computers.
Have you read the novel Daemon by Daniel Suarez? It was one of the inspirations for Ethereum, smart contracts and DAOs. CAF has used the term “digital control grid”, which evokes images of movie villains in underwater, underground or outer space control rooms. But Daemon and DAOs are potentially worse than any “bad guy/girl” – they are designed to create hive-like “self-organizing” systems with ZERO human governance, beyond initial conditions and programming.
Islamic finance (other religions have long surrendered to usury) requires that human labor be combined with capital to yield an investment return, i.e. it’s not permitted to make money purely from money, without human creative (not exploitative!) input. In practice, creative workarounds are used in Islamic financial instruments, but like the U.S. constitution, at least there is a structural legislative attempt to brake the slide towards societal oblivion.
We may need something similar with digital systems: it must not be legal to make money without human creative input and governance, e.g using only data and software harvested from previous humans. At present, this rule may not seem necessary, because the public reality of digital systems is still far away from WEF, Singularity and other dystopian dreams. Small armies of human “labelers” toil away behind the scenes to fix gaps in digital “AI” speech/text/image recognition systems, https://statmodeling.stat.columbia.edu/2022/03/28/is-open-ai-cooking-the-books-on-gpt-3/
“My detour into the fragility of language algorithms is intended to demonstrate the obvious—computer algorithms are like Nigel Richards, who has won several French language Scrabble championships without understanding the meaning of the words he spells, and the algorithms consequently cannot assess whether the patterns they find are meaningful or meaningless.”
Correction:
> Layer 0 integrity check / root of trust for all Layer 1 coins?
Rich you blew me away. Now I know two people that have read Daemon by Daniel Suarez. I really enjoyed that book. By the way the other person is me.
Miles Mathis on a Con Con scenario, http://mileswmathis.com/math.pdf
“Millions of people have already quit their jobs in protest, which is as good as a tax revolt since if you have no income you can’t be expected to pay income taxes … They had planned to have the Republican party ride in to save the day, but at this point that won’t be enough to quell the rebellion … their only chance of avoiding a real grassroots rebellion is to stage their own fake one, a sort of 1776 redux, whereby some band of photogenic patriots does a thorough housecleaning … A Constitutional Convention should be called and the Constitution should be rewritten and updated: beefed up considerably to address modern concerns …. What they have forgotten is that laws and Constitutions not only protect us from them, they protect them from us.”
Make sure you listen to the vieira interview. Meantime, in from MIT https://www.technologyreview.com/2019/02/19/239592/once-hailed-as-unhackable-blockchains-are-now-getting-hacked/
In retrospect it’s obvious that a (misguided and ill-intentioned) Con Con could be wrapped in a fake 1776 “revolution”. Must be challenging to cast new Founding Father characters. I wonder if Tom Mison / Ichabod Crane is available, he was cast as the “lost founding father” in the spiritual warfare TV series Sleepy Hollow. Season 1 focused on a conflict with Moloch. In this 1-min clip, Crane visits a modern bank, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3IOPlPu5cY

Since CBDCs aren’t tied to blockchains, they could be implemented on existing, flawed centralized infrastructure. Existing systems don’t bother claiming to be unhackable, they pass those costs on cyber-breach insurance. In parallel to our efforts to stop unwanted online systems and defend the continued existence of parallel offline systems, we should invest some effort into governance transparency for those online/digital systems which already exist. Farrell’s idea of linking corporate charters to the US Constitution of Bill of Rights deserves more look.
> Farrell’s idea of linking corporate charters to the US Constitution and Bill of Rights deserves another look, e.g. can citizens create various rating scores for governance of corporate, finance and other systems, to inform purchase and buy/partner/shun decisions?
Thanks Catherine for this recommendation. I just listened to that interview and found both your and Dr. Viera viewpoints interesting and valid. I have been one in favor of a Con Con but only because I’m one of many who are throughly frustrated at how our government is robbing us blind and then they gaslight us into taking the fall for it. I hate the way things are but it feels like there’s just no hope for change….the car has gone off the cliff and there’s no getting it back. I, like many…ignorant or otherwise, felt/feel like this is the only possibility for hope of anything being made right, if it can be.
This interview was done 4 yrs ago…I would be curious to hear you two do an updated one based on the current state of affairs in the political landscape of the country.
Thanks for all you do to inform the people of what’s really going on. There’s just not enough trustworthy sources to rely on for honesty and transparency so thanks for being a voice of reason.
We need to enforce the constitution. Why change it if we are not going to enforce it? It will only be changed to our disadvantage. The only thing added to a new analysis would be this https://ourmoney.solari.com/taxation
Thanks for this Catherine. At this time in our history, people should be reading everything by Dr. Edwin Vieira like a how-to manual and trying to implement it ASAP.

“Corbett seems to be happy ignoring: if all sides are all controlled and have been so long, then why didn’t the oligarchy get their technocratic feudalism a LONG time ago. I mean George Soros had his own agent (Zhao Ziyang) in thee highest position of power in China ready to privatize everything under the fourth industrial revolution (in 1983!!) So why was that agent arrested with his allies (a few who evaded arrest by sneaking off to the USA and Canada) and Soros given a lifetime ban from China?
All of Russia was brought under total control during the privatization 1990s of Yeltsin with NATO and Soros taking control of the entire post Soviet space. Today Soros is banned and many of the leading Russian oligarchs created during that time are in sanctuary in London and Florida. Why? Why didn’t that level of influence continue? Why did oligarchs get sent to prison and see their privatized state assets re-nationalized? Why did Russia not let the Syrians get the Iraq treatment or let Venezuela get a regime change in favor of WEF agent Juan Guaido? Why not let Kazakhstan get a Soros regime change treatment a couple of months ago? Why promote National banking when the oligarchy wants all central banks private?
Yes AI and digital currency will be used by Eurasia, but what is their function? How is the system functioning differently in which such things would be used? Are digital currencies or AI intrinsically evils or is there a principle of function, design and intent that determines whether tools will be used to enslave or support human life?”

Yes, there’s money to be made to keep populations dependent. It would be interesting to see what that presentation you made to the foundations looked like. Wondering if some elements of it can be implemented at the local level.
I have a feeling Bitcoin energy will be sourced by us on the social credit system. We will provide the (physical) energy needed to act as the “battery” to power Bitcoin. Again, view Microsoft patent 20200060606 (March 26, 2020) for the full picture.
sofia smallstorm wrote a fascinating newsletter about this possibility.
re: John says America has “lost the rule of law” – but, as Catherine says, “we haven’t yet lost the Constitution.” I say, bring back JURY NULLIFICATION to reign the crazies back in. The courts have been packed against us.
According to this doctrine, the jurors have the inherent right to set aside the instructions of the judge and to reach a verdict of acquittal based upon their own consciences, and the defendant has the right to have the jury so instructed.
Pete Kennedy did a great interview with attorney Elizabeth Rich https://home.solari.com/solari-food-series-jury-nullification-with-elizabeth-rich/
