It is not true that nobody in Romania believes the Government. About 25% trust the Government and 50% trust the EU.
Regarding, antivaccine propaganda: at least 90% of TV stations and newspapers are full of pro-vaccine propaganda. I mean at least one front cover story per day. Some days first 5-6 stories are either provaccine or terror inducing.
Sorin:
25% trusting a government is a low %. Unfortunately 50% trusting the EU takes it up to 75%. So thanks for the correction.
I see millions of people out in the street protesting and everyday communicate with more and more people who are opposed. So what I see is pushback.
Re: the statement from your nurse, about doctors. I’ve managed shared houses in Liverpool UK, for over 8 years. For the last 3 months I, and a lot of my friends who also do renting rooms, have had a MASSIVE influx of foreign doctors, who are here to study for an “exam” I’ve nevr known anything like it. It’s endless.
As a former English teacher in a Chinese university I was very interested in the segment on final exams in China. The Chinese are indirect in their communication. When indirect communication would go right over my head, friends or students would explain to me what was really being said. In my opinion, China just told the world that 20 years from now the English speakers are not going to be in control as far as the CCP is concerned.
either that, or they are battening down the hatches. china has been self sufficient for most of its existence, the last 30 years have been a brief blip in history. china has never been that interested in the rest of the world anyway - the country is so big and old. they can produce pretty much everything domestically for the internal market, and just import raw materials. keep prices low for local market, and export the surplus at a premium. let the foreign consumer bear the inflation expense of logistics problems.
on the original silk road, it was the foreigners who came to china to trade, not vice versa. the trade was done at govt border outposts, and foreigners had to have passes to go inside the territory. this was around 700-800 AD with passes made on split bamboo sticks. for anyone curious, there is a lot of really interesting reading about the administrative system of old china and oroginal silk road.
onto today, there is a very strong editorial re. the australia / UK / usa sub deal. interesting rhetorical question posed at the end:

“Here comes an interesting question: Who is more capable of withstanding the global chaos? China or them?”
Hi Andrzej,
I’d be interested to read more about the silk road.
Do you mind sharing the book titles?
Many thanks.
Natalia
Sally Hovey Wiggins - The Silk Road Journey with Xuanzang /about buddhist monk who walked to india in 600s/
Susan Whitfield - Life along the Silk Road
Valerie Hansen - The Silk Road - A New History
i found books on history of terracota warriors interesting because that was the area of the old imperial capital and drove trade on silk road
edward bruman - terracota warriors - history, mystery and latest discoveries
most fascinating to me were the complexes of buddhist caves all along the silk road, including at longmen and especially dunhuang /mogao caves/. for several hundred years people carved caves and made buddhist altars inside, trying to outdo each other. the result is a gorgeous grouping of well preserved art work. i never found a good picture book on that but you can find some pictures on internet.
even more fascinating about dunhuang is that due to the desert environment they found thousands of perfectly preserved documents from about 1400 years ago, including tibetan buddhist texts. there is even a scholarly field called dunhuang studies. i read “eighteen lectures on dunhuang” by rong xinjiang, it was scholarly work and largely over my head but interesting to see depth of the field. sometimes its good to just dive deep in instead of starting on page 1.
if you ever have a chance to visit gansu province in china, it is definitely a lifetime trip.
Thank you!
I got hooked on history by discovering ‘The Story of Civilization’ by Durant. On Volume 4 now and loving every bit of it. Volume 1, ‘Our Oriental Heritage’, touches the Silk Road, but not in depth.
So, now that there are attempts to sue law enforcement officers in civil court, personally, for their actions, it would follow that medical doctor’s might also be sued personally based on their actions.
I agree. these people are doing many of these things because they think they are protected – just following orders so to speak. they need to start to pay to these personally.
I see a Solari University in the future….So much talent in our community being fired I can’t help but look on the positive of courses either online or via DVD and paper workbooks in the mail…Hang in there! Hold The Line!
Good collection and report to illustrate these wierd times – thank you.
I found this following video quite instructive to describe the mass psychosis we find ourselves surrounded by.
“A mass psychosis is an epidemic of madness and it occurs when a large portion of a society loses touch with reality and descends into delusions.
This video will aim to answer questions surrounding mass psychosis: What is it? How does is start? Has it happened before? Are we experiencing one right now? And if so, how can the stages of a mass psychosis be reversed?”

Why were US media silent on Pfizer vaccine deaths?: Global Times editorial
In a practical and realistic manner, China has squarely faced the reality that Chinese vaccines lacked sufficient data. Chinese COVID-19 vaccines have been put on the market but are conditional. Vaccination priority will be given to high-exposure populations between 18 and 59 years old, not the elderly. No senior Chinese official has come out to openly endorse Chinese vaccines.
…
However, the Pfizer vaccine has been strongly promoted by the US administration and capital. Their potential risk has been deliberately downplayed by Western public opinion. And public opinion has created an impression that Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine, which is being used for the first time, is safer than the Chinese vaccine.
