    1. During one of JPF’s marathon Vidchats. A member shared an article or story about a popular brand of headsets from Dr. Dre that operator out of phase L to R. JPF explained how the brain compensates creating a wonderful listening experience. In doing so, the brain creates a hypnotic wave. You know they are doing it in all headsets wired, wireless and beyond. Imagine the information you can pipe into an unsuspecting and hypnotize brain. I see those apple wireless airpods hanging out of many ears. Kids wear high end headsets playing vid games. Then the VR crap.

I have to assume that the person was talking about binaural beat technology, by which the frequency of the note is slightly different in each ear, and the brain compensates by creating a third “phantom” note. Anyone who has tuned an instrument with a tuning fork and heard a slight warble was putting this into practice. Enticing the brain to make this phantom note enables one to hear a note at a frequency that is normally far below our range of hearing, but within the range of brainwave frequencies.
        Binaural beats embedded in sound have been used for decades for brain entrainment, with debatable success. I very much doubt that those headphones (i.e. the hardware) would have been capable of making adjustments to the music (software). The person very well might have been talking about beats embedded in music. However, even then, an individual’s brain quickly adapts and drops sensory information which it deems longer novel or perceived as relevant, so repeated use of the same binaural beats usu. has limited effect.

        On a side note, I think binaural beats have some (limited) interesting value in self-exploration.

      2. You are correct. I had a pair of Dr. Dre’s. They did not last long. Garbage product.

        Well, lucky me. All of that tech makes me physically nauseated. So, I stay away. I don’t know why. I have some pretty strong reactions and a very heightened intuition/instincts. A lot of videos people think are so awesome like the q garbage, Dr. Malone, Desmett, etc. give me nausea also. A recent effect I am noticing is a very odd heat feeling. My head and face get really hot. But, not a normal feeling of heat more like a cooking from the inside out. Microwaves?! Eek!

  4. Restaurants and other entities in Europe closing is really going to affect tourism.
    Sanctions against Russia is working out great.

    1. This is a heart breaker for me. I love the food in Europe. We would travel there mainly for “real” good food. Yumm!

      1. I know how you feel. I haven’t left the country since 9/11 but used to love going to Europe for so many reasons. Restaurants were the highlight.

  5. The real estate surrounding the Dallas Fed is generally high end commercial businesses, hotels and residential buildings. They wouldn’t be likely to be destroyed to take over.

  6. I live in Dallas and we haven’t had any riots here that I know of.
    A long time ago I remember piles of bricks that were placed around the city but they were discovered before they were used for anything.

        I accidentally clicked on the button that says I don’t want to receive messages about this anymore. Please disregard it. If there are riots here I want to know.
        We do have a terrible homeless problem here. I think the HUD money we get for low income housing is taken by city management and goes to real estate developers.
