  1. Have you thought of doing a culture section about Palladio? The architect who built the farms from the wealth that left Venice?
    I think that would be an interesting parallel between Gates+ farmland and history.

  2. Did Obamania lead to Trump Derangement Syndrome? The phenomenon did not arise overnight, but began with the unreasonable attribution of virtue to a man of extremely moderate accomplishments. The same people who engaged in this seeming orgy of approbation in 2009-17, fell into an equally unreasonable condemnation of a previously celebrated man whose policies were in contrast to his predecessor.   3. Is it me…it took around 40 years to create a what 70%? effective influenza vaccine. But in 1 year various competitors find a vaccine all at the same time while being competitors. The timing of all those so called competitors finding a vaccine exactly at the same time I find the most suspecting and blatent of all.

  6. I am flummoxed and very concerned on the true purpose of the social equity bond markets. Then I found this talk by Professor Justin LeRoy, UC Davis, 19th century US history given in 2017 at the Whitney Art Museum. Title is “Race, Finance, and the Afterlife of Slavery.” He published a book “Freedom’s Limit: Racial Capitalism & the Afterlives of Slavery”. It’s worth a listen though over 3 yrs. old. Now the goal is universal digital slavery for all. Can you listen to the first 30 minutes and do you agree with him? Know you are very busy.     1. Professor Justin LeRoy ties black slavery of the past to the present and the social equity bonds market. You have explained this many times but it’s refreshing to hear an African American professor tie it into the private equity markets of today like you. As you say, the young people get it. He does mention the 2008 crash. Once a vulture always a vulture I say.

    2. I have it on my list to dive into this. Some very creepy stuff going on.
