Of course, Justice herself is supposed to be blind, but we think it’s fine to appoint her servants based on superficial characteristics, that is, something other than a career of judicial probity.

  2. With the recent story of the poor 100 monkeys who escaped being transported to a CDC site for experimentation in PA, I recalled the excellent 1996 movie “12 Monkeys”. Science fiction is no longer fiction. Whether it was an OP or not, those monkeys represent us. It’s a warning via the monkeys. Mr. Globaloney sees us as cattle.     We know the ultimate goal is to change legal definition of all humans as X for robots, commodification of people for human capital markets, digital slavery but Nate succinctly shows in 15 minutes it’s nonsense, psychological warfare. A good start.

    The future implications of this are very bad.

    We know the technocracy is moving to lock down computers with encrypted boot modules that will be tied to the owners identity. Want to jail-break your laptop so you can’t be tracked? Well, China has a fun present for you: infect your *hardware* with a virus that cannot be removed (without specialized equipment). Either you voluntary give up your privacy to the technocrats or China gives you the special virus that totally compromises your machine.

        Therefore, if you want a reasonably secure computer, you need to start with the hardware and ensure that as much as possible of the firmware (e.g. WiFi/Bluetooth, EC, BIOS, …) is open-source and the Intel ME has been deactivated. AFAIK, the closest you can currently get to that goal is by buying a computer from Purism (https://puri.sm).

    1. I had an acquaintance that worked in the primate center in S. La. They were doing dna work on “hiv” patients that had died.

      There were escapes in the primate population more often than one wants to think.

      I have not seen that person for decades. I wonder what she thinks today.

      I wonder what they did to the monkeys in Mauritius before being shipped to US.

      1. Interesting the name of the center where these experiments are done, as humans are absolutely primates, ourselves. Blurry ethical lines. But that’s what politics and “science” likes.

        1. Absolutely, and I know for a fact most of the people working there are not aware of the nefarious reasons those places exist. Or, how everything is co-opted for evil. Compartmentalization.

          2. I had a good friend (biologist colleague) who said she’d worked in primate labs for a very short time as an undergrad. She said she only lasted a few weeks because she couldn’t bear to see what these creatures-with-very-human-characteristics were experiencing. So I guess there’s a certain amount of self-selection. For my part, I wasn’t too happy to see what some researchers were subjecting mice to.

            That is the experience of many who could not bear the abuse done to other creatures.

            Have you ever looked into the eyes of a gorilla? I swear, it feels as if they can read your mind. And, certainly they can do such a thing. I have no doubt.

            It’s worse than that. They are so far removed from the actual target and never suspect anything nefarious. Now, the gas valves… no one can say they did not know.

      2. Yes, this is common. The monkeys are highly intelligent. They regularly escape and also bite the human workers.
