  1. Story from marketwatch: “‘This feels very unfair.’ I’m 73 and worked full-time in education. Over 17 years, I made only one late payment on my student loans. I still owe $12K. Can you help? ”

The perfect person to teach kids how to be debt slaves. People are trained to believe that two persons working 35 years for a house or a flat is normal. With all the technology we have, with all mechanization, automation we have it is normal.

People used to build a house in a year by themselves. With only basic tools. Now with high technology it takes 35 years.

    1. Dear Sorin

You’ve made a very poignant and significant point, It is a realisation that more people should be aware of and ask the question, ‘Have I lived my life in order to buy a house?’.

Added to that is that fact that although you work 35 years of your life to own a house you never really own it 100% because if once you finally own it and you then can’t pax taxes on it it will be taken away from you.

Also worth noting is at of those 35 years, 2/3 of that time (namely about 20 years) is working to pay the bank for interest.

I wonder when this whole concept began. In many cultures land, just like air and water, is something you can use but it is not something you own, or can buy and sell. When and where did the idea of owning land start? I’d love to know.

In property law there is also the principle of owning the air above your property to the heaven called Cuius est solum, eius est usque ad coelum et ad inferos or ad coelum for short. It’s Latin for ‘Whoever’s is the soil, it is theirs all the way to Heaven and all the way to Hell’, and it means that property holders have rights not only to the plot of land itself, but also the air above and (in the broader formulation) the ground below. On the other hand, even though you own the air you cannot forbid satellites or drones in your piece of the sky.

      It’s all terribly odd.

  2. China’s Big Tech leads in VR and AR patent applications. But China’s metaverse may look different from everyone else’s

    https://fortune.com/2022/01/27/china-big-tech-patent-applications-vr-ar/

Cryptocurrencies for instance, won’t play a major role in Chinese iterations of the metaverse—unlike in other countries, where they are the basic economic structure underlying these virtual worlds, says Triolo.
    …..
But in China, Beijing has used a heavy regulatory hand as it attempts to curb gaming addiction and citizens’ exposure to violent and what the government deems as unpatriotic imagery. Last August, Chinese authorities announced strict new rules to limit the amount of time children can spend playing video games to three hours per week, while state-linked media likened gaming to “spiritual opium.”

How can bigtech properly harvest young people and ruin them financially if tech companies can’t use cryptos and have only three hours per week to do their work?

If the tech race is really between which country can brainwash and harvest their young more efficiently, america can be in the lead. And don’t worry if American students score lower in math and science – it’s not necessary for them to understand how the Disney rides operate. They just need to ride them.

  3. Curious if Cathrine has looked at any of the work by Wayne Jett. His Book The Fruits of Graft on FDR and the Great Depression and the Federal Reserve. Some of his recent interviews suggest the U.S. Insurrection Act was signed and high ranking Military Officials are involved in ongoing Military Tribunals. I liked his book but not sure about his recent claims and with so much misinformation never know who or what to trust. Thanks in advance!

    1. I think we have discussed Jett before. At the time, his book was out of print, and it just slipped away as a subject. I found him credible.

        1. To follow up. Looked into this more. Mr Jett references a website called RealRawNews to support his claims of a secret operation via Insurrection act to capture all the criminals. One of the disclaimers on that site is that it is satire. Its very interesting how some who on one hand seem to really understand whats going on yet on the other hand add some element of data that seems designed to appear far fetched to undermine the part that is true.

    1. I have heard from some of the truckers in the convoy that the nearly $5 million raised so far has not been dispersed yet to cover their expenses. They say that if you personally know one of the truckers, it would be best to directly transfer funds. As of right now they are paying out of pocket for fuel.
Speaking with a friend, we discussing how we could fund a fund a fuel truck for the convoy and bypass the crowdfunding…

    2. Totally agree. Go Canada truckers, Go! God bless and God speed to them. Teresa from the UK

  4. This is something that Swiss natives Ulrike Gronegger and Wim Hof may want to weigh in on. Apparently, nanoplastics are a major component of the snow in the Alps. If you consult Elena Freeland, you will find that she has already addressed that these are part of the components of chemtrails, which are sprayed over populated areas. The article does not bother to mention chemtrails, opting instead for explanations of the general tendency of urban areas and oceans to expel nanoplastics. “Very interesting,” said squintingly with a cigarette stub and a Third Reich helmet. https://www.zmescience.com/science/alpine-snow-plastic-pollution-93737553/

    1. cheap disposable plastics have been horrible for the environment, and in ways that are just coming into view and will be with humanity for many generations. and that is just the start of the conversation.

Kind of under attach here As I type this

      1. Well, I totally mischaracterized them. I personally have never been to the land of the Swiss.

        1. You should go. There are parts you would absolutely love – and would love to you.

          1. We will see how things develop in terms of restoration of freedom, worldwide. I literally had to cancel a paid-for trip to Italy when I saw the food stores there being raided. I just wouldn’t want to get caught-up in some mask and vax net in a foreign land.

Since the COVID op began it has been a blessing to have my coastal place in a non-crazy state for a getaway, and I would also classify my main residence host, Ohio as a non-crazy state.

          2. The people living in sane places are having a radically different experience than those who are in heavy op places. Huge difference.

          3. I guess we bring whatever sanity we have to the places we are. But on the whole, I would say it’s been dumb luck. If I was to categorize Ohioans, I would say they are somewhat like Canadians, neither here nor there in terms of ideology, so, flexible. That’s a good thing to be in these times.

  5. Is anybody keeping an eye out for Winter Olympic weather modification?

I discovered this site a few years ago after experiencing conditions in Shanghai. Shortly after the world expo, I spoke to people who said they’d enjoyed an unusual, extended period of really super weather. Of course, a weather cleanup can be achieved by simply giving people two weeks work-leave and turning off many polluters.
AQICN = Air quality index china … but also has data for the whole world. This morning, Beijing was relatively healthy “green”, whilst many other places the usual colours of red and purple indicating badness. This is (roughly) the venue for downhill skiing Zhangjiakou
