  2. My son went to Ukraine in July, 2018, to try to join the military. A recruiter with their army corresponded with him to come because the recruiter received higher compensation based on the distance recruits traveled. He rented a room in this recruiter’s apartment for a very high price until he was admitted to the army in October. He came home November 30 during the Kirch Strait incident. Based on what he described during his stay, I came away with the impression the Ukranians are kind people but their lives are very difficult, with little economic opportunity. They’re likely to rob or cheat a foreigner, in a sneaky and good natured way but are not violent or inclined to murder. While he waited in Kiev, he communicated with two other young Americans who were on the line in the Donbass region. The two sides periodically shot at each other but were spaced far enough apart that no one was harmed. It sounded very much like boys in their trenches, playing war. It was odd. One day, however, a sniper from the Russian side shot a new recruit in the chest. He bled to death because they didn’t have a good evacuation plan and they were basically out in a field. The Ukraine military sent a helicopter with guns but stayed out of range, the Russian side fired at it. After this brief display of muscle with no consequences, the helicopter went away.

Aaron was in bootcamp at Mikolaev which is northeast of Odessa. Every day, recruits were fed buckwheat mush, borscht and cabbage. The borscht contained a small amount of chicken. The barracks contained a barrel of drinking water but it was foul and gave them diarhea. The showers were cold water, a drain in the floor for a toilet, they could wash their clothing but there was no place to hang them to dry. Most of the recruits had problems with their feet and crotch rot because of this. Uniforms, long johns and winter coats were provided, however, there weren’t enough for everyone and there was much stealing among recruits. The shoes provided were poorly made and uncomfortable. Officers stole Aaron’s boots the first day but fortunately he’d brought another pair. Heat was not turned on in the barracks until recruits became ill in November. Equipment was lacking or broken. No real effort was made to teach recruits how to handle and care for a gun. Some of Aaron’s pictures showed young men in the field, during breaks, smoking, with their loaded guns across a knee or arm, casually pointed at others. Clearly, training an army was not the goal of this bootcamp but these young soldiers didn’t know any better. The general in charge, sold everything that had any value: food, clothing, equipment, guns, ammo. When a dignitary from Canada visited, recruits were required to dig into their own pockets to buy lightbulbs because the general had sold them. They got a good meal that day for the sake of appearances.

Outside the gates to this bootcamp, the general owned a convenience store. Recruits could buy water, booze and junk food there with their army pay and money they could con out of a foreigner. Many recruits lived close enough they could go home on weekends where they could be fed. Aaron’s weight dropped dramatically from July – November. He was starving. Aaron decided to leave because there was no military training or discipline being taught there. Based on his observations, I think the military is a place to warehouse the young people because they have no opportunities. Living conditions indicate how little concern they have for these young people. The military provides an opportunity for those at the top to make money. As this situation with Ukraine and Russia unfolds, I wonder who they are fighting because Ukraine truly does not have a military that could resist any invasion. Is the whole thing narrative?

I should mention the parades. Periodically, there would be some rumor about Russia and they would bring out their old tanks and march these kids through town. The townspeople turned out for the spectacle. There was some humor in it as potholes in the streets tripped up more than one recruit or their flags got caught in tree branches. Ukraine, truly is a country falling apart – poor infrastructure, corruption – it’s really a shame.

    1. Your description fits with most of my reports from the ground. It is a society going through a horrible long term implosion. Oldie but goodie:

Yea, Though I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death

      Daily Bell Editorial

By Catherine Austin Fitts – November 09, 2012

“We all live in the South Bronx because that neighborhood is the unavoidable proof that American civilization can stop. It can stop literally right around the corner, and if it does nobody can do a thing about it… “
      ~ Michael Ventura

It’s the look that grabs you: that moment when a person first realizes that civilization can stop and what that means. There is no law that they can count on; community comes as luck may have it. Sometimes there is no luck at all. The machinery can and will turn against them – and hit hard.

Tiger Woods was on top of the world: handsome, successful, wealthy, at the top of his game. Then it served the purpose of the powers that be to put him through the ringer. It kept the crowd distracted. It served multiple purposes; most had nothing to do with Tiger. In a split second, all the media turned against him. Up was down, down was up. It was an exercise in raw power.

Now Tiger Woods realizes that he can swing a golf club, but no matter how well he plays golf and no matter what the facts are, some invisible force can decide arbitrarily what other people think and say about him, at the drop of the hat. He is powerless in the face of the storm. Watch Tiger speak to the press. The fright is still in his eyes. The proof that he is a champion is that he can still get up, play and win.

I hear that fright now when I talk with people in New York and on the East Coast. The voice that goes with the look. It was not just a storm. There was something else. Something more. This time it was not just one office complex. This time it was much bigger. Days without power reminds us what life can be like when civilization stops.

I once lived through a decade-long storm – one that got ugly, turned mean, got dug in. A few years into it, a fellow who used to work for the CIA in covert operations turned up and professed to give advice. He said when the storm hits, you need to let it roll over like a wave. I did not understand what he meant at first. I came to over time. It served me well.

Civilization is a power that each one of us carries in our heart. Preserve and nourish that power through the storm, then arise to rebuild when the storm passes.

      1. Wow. I will remember the image of the storm, and your counsel to let it roll over one like a wave. And I will do my best to hold civilization within my heart in hopes of rebuilding once the storm has passed. Thank you, Catherine.

      2. Sad yet beautiful! I will carry and nourish that power. Thank you, Catherine

    2. I met a Ukrainian chef once on a drill ship. He cooked excellent food! Also he was a great guy to talk to and socialize. Only through him I learned that Ukrainians love fresh dill in their dishes. And here it comes: I also met great Russians while at work. Excellent people to talk to and work with. Sad though that divide and conquer seems to work everywhere because I really believe deep down in their hearts people don‘t want to fight each other.

    3. Sad story, but it is clear that Ukraine is a country with a mere figurehead at its helm. Like the USA. Without solid leadership, any country is only one challenge away from revealing its fecklessness.

  3. Thanks for your ‘no nonsense’ Money & Mkt report this week. I was taken by the comic John showed with Covid going out the door and a war missile coming in the door. This narrative flip is such a handy way to get both Fauci and the Pharma companies off the national and international stages now that R. Kennedy Jr.’s book has come out and exposed the entire underbelly to Fauci and the industry he serves so well. For a guy who got more media air time than the U.S. Pres over the past 2 years it will prevent media questioning and investigation quite well. Also, attached is the moment you spoke about in your Ask Catherine set regarding DeSantis addressing the students regarding mask wearing in FL this week! Needless to say our hearts are with the Ukrainian people affected by the antics in their part of the world.

  4. Hi Catherine. Can you provide the link to the meme John posted – COVID-19 exiting stage and Russia-Ukraine armed conflict (WWIII) entering stage. The perfect Kabuki theatre meme. Thank you. It says it all. We just keep changing the event in this grand theatre! It appears this message is spreading quickly in the Alt world. The alt counter narratives clearly are growing stronger by the ‘crisis event’. Millions globally catching on to the global control grid and how it operates. Counter attacks come more swiftly as a result. Knocked it out of the park this week. As always, so appreciate your committed efforts to your subscribers – you too John. Thank you!

  5. Catherine, John,
great show as always. Thank you so much for that.

“And now we are talking about a revival of the Khazars, with their centre shifted to Dnepropetrovsk and, apparently, Ukraine as a contributor to the “city on a hill” – the new Jerusalem. It means that Chabad – Lubavitch will move from New York to Dnepropetrovsk ..

..after the referenda on Donetsk and Lugansk independence, the results of which surprised many analysts, the secessionist federation’s (Novorossiya, New Russia) militia began a total destruction of Kolomoyski storm troopers. Fight for freedom, supported by millions of citizens in Ukraine, will now spill over beyond Donbass borders – westwards to Kiev.

Realizing this, Kolomoyski began to pump Ukrainian strategic oil reserves and sell to EU. The first tranche of the IMF loan did not go to pay for Russian gas (an impossibility, according to Kiev junta’s Russophobic rhetoric), but was divided between the top of the Dniepropetrovsk Chabad and the Ukrainian oligarchs.

… The Rubicon has been crossed, and the militia of free republics rightly plan a march on Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk, in order to finally destroy the lair of the fascist traitors and oppressors of New Russia’s free people. Memory of the victims of Odessa will not let the militia regiments to stop at Donbass borders, but will lead them on, taking in their ranks a growing number of those who “never forget, never forgive”. The fall of the Chabad and of Kolomoyski is near. What next?”

      1. Ooh, I looked for this audio a few years ago when first encountering the phrase. At the time, online copies were nowhere to be found, only a text summary of the audio. Thanks for the pointer, will listen.

There are still precious few details on this topic, hopefully more people will come forward with sunlight. The possible shenanigans of a small clique are less interesting than potential deals which could have been struck to use relocation as an escape valve to end Middle East conflict and achieve a one-state solution. In that scenario, the relocation of Ukraine refugees throughout Europe could make sense in the context of “Opportunity Zone” smart city (re)construction for future cyber, auto/robot & space development.

If there is enough future upside at stake, players from many “sides” may come to the table, e.g. both Europe and China miners wanting access to Lithium. If a small country has spent years acting like an oversight-free unregulated cutout, how does one formalize the equivalent of FASB 56, take some of the grey market completely into non-public markets, while cleaning up the remaining grey market for shiny modernization and investment? Insiders would want to lock in early stakes without too much competition.

        1. Anything you can provide on how the existing Ukrainian efforts you describe network into the City of London and what both the City and Wall Street are doing with the big corporate pieces are appreciated. Also anything on what the covert operations being prepared on the ground in Poland or elsewhere.

          1. Will keep an eye out. Some claims from the last day or two:

            Escobar, https://thesaker.is/how-russia-will-counterpunch-the-u-s-eu-declaration-of-war/
“onset of a 2022 Neo-Nazi Jihad: a 20,000-strong mercenary army being assembled in Poland under CIA supervision. The bulk comes from private military companies such as Blackwater/Academi and DynCorp. Their cover: “return of Ukrainians from the French Foreign Legion.”

            Escobar, https://twitter.com/realpepeescobar/status/1500066812289069060
“GUR, Ukranian intel, is now in western Idlib in Syria. Mission: regiment jihadis of Islamic Party of Turkestan, led by one Azizi Douti. They’ll be shipped to Lviv via Poland early next week. Salary: $3,000 a month. Who’s paying? EU “financial assistance” to Kiev.”

Why now? This was known for years.
            https://twitter.com/leonidragozin/status/1500081193206833153
“Ukrainian media report that a member of Ukrainian delegation at Gomel peace talks, Denys Kireyev, was killed by SBU as security agents tried to capture him on suspicion of high treason.”

            https://knowinsiders.com/who-is-negotiator-denis-kireev-and-fact-about-his-death-34233.html
“He was considered a creature of the oligarch Andrei Klyuev, an ally of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych .. He was literally executed, shot in the head at the entrance of Pechersk Court .. Denis Kireev is an expert in the banking sector .. a financier who has held top positions in Sberbank and Ukreximbank .. For over 20 years he has worked with such Western organizations as Citibank, Credit Lyonnais, ING, Rabobank.”

            Klyuyev: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andriy_Klyuyev

The humanitarian corridor/DMZ for civilian evacuation from Mariupol goes to Zaporozhye, near the Dnieper River, 90 mins from the city of Dnipro on the Dnieper. Potential repeat of Grozny in Chechnya where civilians were warned and given time to leave, before destructive escalation? There are claims that people are being prevented from leaving, so they can be used as human shields, with counter-claims that the ceasefire is not being honored by Russia.

In the following scenario, Dniper (capital of New Khazaria?) would be a border town of a buffer state between Ukraine and Russia.
            Escobar (Feb 24): https://twitter.com/realpepeescobar/status/1496791021430128640
“THE POSSIBLE ENDGAME Birth of independent Novorossiya. East of the Dnieper, south along Sea of Azov/Black Sea, attached to Ukraine by Lenin in 1922. Totally aligned with Russia. Land bridge to Transnistria. No Ukraine access to Black Sea.”

    1. Ssshhhhhhh … I’ve already provide the Solari administration with details and resources of New Khazaria – didn’t land.

      1. Read everything you send, Michael. Rich too – although given the volume, it may sometimes be a skim.

  7. Thanks for the excellent M&M this week Catherine!

These past 2 weeks have been difficult to understand what’s really taking place.

Your hard work is greatly appreciated!
