I believe a major trend you are seeing now is the de-consumerization of the global economy. The news is calling it deglobalization, but actually it is more akin to deconsumerization. Whereas before it was the consumer who drove investment and policy, now global consumers are less important in the grand scheme of things. Large, institutional state capitalist investment models are being implemented, while consumers as drivers of the economy all over the world are deprioritized. Inflation in the Western countries erode purchasing power and living standards, and the major drivers of the Western economies are now investments into AI, carbon emission controls, various state controls, ESG initiatives, etc. I would guess very little of that investment will benefit the individual consumer, while it will greatly benefit the state and the large players.
In the developing world which was the export part of the consumer model before, you are seeing deflation and unemployment. It is becoming obvious that a major deflationary event is happening in China, as global and local demand falters.
There is a parallel to this deconsumerization with the increased and blatant lack of respect for the law by the Western governments, because the individual voter or consumer matters less now in the decision matrix.
It does not bode well for us average folks just trying to make it.
“Fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a bumby ride!” And it appears we can finally say, in truth, “America First!”
Thanks for naming this trend.
CAF has said that price is the information signal for decentralized cooperation via markets. If prices are set by opaque centralized policy rather than transparent markets, do we still have markets? If we don’t have markets with price signals, do we still have consumers? If we don’t have journalism informing election choices, do we still have voters? If citizens don’t have choices, can there be consent? If there’s no consent, who are the parties to the social contract?
Excellent questions. Along that note, it isn’t hard to see that the contradictions you mention are leading to massive civil unhappiness all over the world. A consequence of deconsumerization will be public resentment or worse.
I am guessing that contingency plans have already been made to deal with this. I.e. CBDCs and the surveillance state. Mr. Globals are a clever, the long game thinking bunch

On the topic of cultural preservation, anyone from Canada heard about the Youtube deletion of 3,000 film artifacts?
https://cmf-fmc.ca/news/encore-to-explore-new-avenues/
In Nov 2022, with 10 days notice, after 5 years of free availability on Youtube, all of the video content and social media history was deleted without notice to archivists. The content remains unavailable in any paid or free channel.
CMF is funded by Canadians via taxes and cable revenues. Have any Canadian journalists looked into the virtual disappearance of Canadian film heritage?

Just wanted to share this rare example of self-aware, honest advertising… hats off to them!
Yup. Pretty amazing. Titus and I discussed several shows back.
Ah I had a feeling you did! It’s breathtaking – either trolling us (good one guys!) or industrial level self-delusion.
Catherine,
I do not get it, why is depopulation one of the answers to the problem?
I can understand breaking up the U.S., but depopulation?
What i don’t understand is why bother depopulating when we are literally 10-20 years away from the real global “reset”.
The science is converging, and yet few want to discuss this part.

TPTB own 95%+ of the money in the world, and they believe that they now have the technology to automate most of the services and manufacturing they might need on a regular basis. So there is no need to keep the useless eaters around.
Also, it’s extremely expensive to run the control grid and perhaps even physically limiting, so with far fewer useless eaters remaining, it will be far easier and more economical to run the control grid.
Here’s one possible motive for the depopulation. The WEF would have you believe they’re doing it primarily to avert the existential dangers of climate change. I don’t know if they really care about climate change or not. Climate change might just be serving as a convenient cover story since it is already feared by a portion of the population.
I believe their primary motivation has to do with growing evidence that energy, and mostly fossil-based energy in the form of “oil”, is going to become, in the not too distant future, too expensive for our debt-fueled economies to support. Not because world events are affecting oil prices, but because the resources themselves are becoming ever harder to access (think: fracking; offshore drilling) AND ever harder to refine (think: tar sands). The low-hanging fruit has already been harvested. In other words, it’s taking more and more energy to extract and process the energy we need to run our complex civilization. The story of civilization is the story of energy. The cabal knows this and, as it has done throughout history, seeks now to own and control as much of the abundance of the earth as possible for its own greedy uses.
Most economies are debt-based and require more and more debt to grow. There will come a point when fuel provision and debt servicing cannot both be supported by an economy’s GDP. Why? Because both are increasing exponentially at a higher rate than growth in the GDP. This is not widely recognized (yet), but you can bet the billionaire oligarchs have noticed. And they know that renewables like solar and wind are NOT the answer. Renewables can power a perfectly good civilization. Just not this one.
How shall this cabal reduce resource extraction relatively quickly, retain control over the mass of people in the process, and preserve most of earth’s abundance for themselves? By culling the population at a controlled rate and simultaneously installing total centralized control of financial transactions via CBDC and Digital IDs. And how shall the “dons” get their foot soldiers to do the dirty work? By appealing to the plentiful greed and psychopathy of those in positions of power.
Voila. Mission accomplished, with the additional benefit that the eugenicists among them can look forward to dancing in the streets.
** NOTE: The latest data assembled by long-time petroleum geologist Arthur Berman is quite revealing. In particular, the document referenced below is very clear and a quick read at just 11 pages:

What about the Electrical grid though? They’re pushing for EVs and everything digital yet Bitcoin / crypto mining is extremely expensive and depletes resources. There was a NPR program about this ~2 weeks ago.
And what about the catastrophe cycle? 16 minute summary.

Michael, did you see the vids back in 2010 ish of Ted Turner and Bill Gates? As best as I can figure, they like playing god, they think humanity in general harms nature, they are above us in their minds. This is also in the tiny book Silent Weapons for Quite Wars 1954. What I hear so many say is they can not believe there are people this evil, so they struggle to wrap their head around this whole concept of de pop. Might could really go back to when Eugenics started early 1900. Also start asking the questions of what do they have planned next? Get fit and healthy is always a good thing to do.

News from Canada:
It is rumoured Trudeau wants to invoke the Emergencies Act again in response to the federal PSAC strike.
I suppose that will give the banks the justification for seizing the assets of federal employees with no legal recourse.
