What we are watching price out through the political process is life vs. death. More specifically, the financial value of the life and death of various groups and ages of people vs. the life and death of large banks and corporations.

In a market economy, if a person’s skills become outdated, the theory is that they will be encouraged by their need to generate income to learn new skills or change.

If a large bank or corporation can no longer generate revenues to cover its operations, likewise the theory says that it will change. Management will invent new products and services, cut expenses, renegotiate with creditors through bankruptcy or shut down.

However, in a bubble, the people and the corporations and banks all avoid change by going to the government and coming up with thousands of ways to keep their operations afloat using government funds so they do not have to change– government programs, subsidies, contracts, credit, guarantees, regulations and so forth. This is why I start my case study on how the system really works with that old New Jersey street saying – “Make a law, make a business.”

Changing the laws, however, does not change the real world where fundamental productivity continues to count. So over the last twelve months, after many bubbles, there was not enough for everyone. So we made a decision to shift most, if not all, of our remaining resources to the large banks and corporations.

What this means is that if people do not need the products and services of the banks and corporations, rather than let them die, we are going to use government and central banks to simply take money from  people to keep a bank or corporation alive without customers or markets.

So the institutions created to serve markets are deemed to have lives of their own that justify subsidizing them even if the markets are gone. Government can guarantee markets even when customers have no money to buy goods and services and taxpayers can not afford to pay taxes.

Big banks and corporations are guaranteed life. In addition, there is no prison or death penalty for big banks and corporations as a result of their bad behavior, including when it causes the death of people. So their life is infinite.

To pay for this we must take resources from people — with taxes, with fees, with inflation, with lower benefits and with legal and economic warfare. If they do not go along, we can send them to prison or inflict the death penalty.

Hence, an overview of a series of policies is emerging from Wall Street and Washington which is crystal clear.

People will die so that corporations and banks without retail markets, customers or purpose can live richly, although not anywhere near as richly as the invisible forces that hide behind them.

  1. “It is this sense of duty which causes them to avoid confronting the system”. Catherine, I think you are partly right. I have concluded from my life experiences of over a half century that we are each desperately alone in a vast and challenging wilderness here on planet earth. We humans tend to hold onto any guideposts we can find; to trust in people and organizations that appear provide a sense of security and a hope of physical and psychological survival. You ask others to let go of all that they have accepted as secure. It is too much for them to face reality. What you refer to as “duty” may often be simply their choice of the nearest apparent refuge in a storm, even if it is only short term or illusory.

  2. Great overview, Catherine. Michael Hudson (economist) gave a similar overview on video —

What people fear more than death is 1) public humiliation, and 2) not having any control over their circumstances when they are elderly or dying. I learned this from being a financial advisor and also working with communities to fight crime.

  3. It’s all about scarcity (“SCARE-CITY”).

    – Scarcity of quality food & water for the public
    – Scarcity of environment for the planet through implied overuse by humanity.
    – Scarcity of farm land.
    – Scarcity of Petroleum and other natural resources (just look at what at Debeers has done with diamonds)
    – Scarcity of Capital for business for anyone who is not an Insider
    – Now, we have Total Economic Scarcity …. no business is allowed to exist outside the control grids, hence, no access to livelihood for the general public in this system.
    – etc… etc….

Humanity has let the social planners create a system that humanity acquiesced to, and now depend upon for its survival. As they created it, they control it. Now they are retarding access to all critical elements of LIFE inside their system. It is full scale war against Humanity! The ONLY option is to disregard their systems, to create our own systems independent of theirs. But this is tricky, because they are pushing the public into new systems that they intend to attack or control at a more granular level at some future date. So, we cannot simply let them hold key ground, like all farmable land and all access to resources. There are certain MUST BEE stances that humanity must take, or we put our survival at extraordinary risk.

  4. Anthony:

    Very good point.

Someone once told me about a game. You write all your possessions on a piece of paper and then you go through a large house or mansion with many rooms in each room you have to give up one of the pieces of paper until the last one you have to decide between the last two.

Going through years of litigation was like that for me — just a real life game. When I got down to the last few rooms, I decided that death was not the worst thing that could happen. So I would give up life before other things that had more value — such as freedom. That was a very freeing notion that has freed me from needing many of the things I used to think I needed.

At the same time, I have no children and my parents are dead. I believe that many people feel very strong obligations to dependent parents and children. It is this sense of duty which causes them to avoid confronting the system.

    Best,

    Catherine

  5. Hi Catherine,

Have not responded in a while to any readings! But I think you just hit on the entire illusion of THE SYSTEM. What most do not realize is that they are artificial persons as well. Well they may believe they are Natural persons, but their behavior walks the walk. So when a fictitious entity (everyone not a freeman) deals with another fictitious entity (corporate) the bigger, badder and greater financed wins, every time. Look persons its time to become people…not sheeple. I always laugh when a person talks about sheeple. Because a person is soooooo much lowlier than a sheeple. sheeple have a chance of awakening. persons are forever owned by their masters. Do not be mistaken this is the eternal game of master and slave. If you want awakening and are really wanting to do something meaningful do some research of your own instead of Catherine doing it all the time for you all…

Go here… http://www.dnb.com/us/ …go to menu where it says find a company…in the blank enter various organizations you believed where of the PEOPLE…IRS, FBI, CIA, TREASURY DEPARTMENT, SUPREME COURT, PRESIDENT, US GOVERNMENT…have fun with it please note the names of how some are traded…the country will be united states and state will be district of columbia. do yo have a funny sinking feeling in your gut GOOD, How then is anything legit…how are you able to function in this SOCIETY (Law Society), you are an artificial person, that’s how. Granted privileges through the respective corporations until deemed unnecessary. How else could this entire system do so blatantly what it does unless they have the backing of law. The MATRIX was not so ingenious.

  6. Thank, Catherine, for a great summary of what’s really going on. I so appreciate your time and efforts.

    God bless and keep you.

  7. No argument here but I think the DNA is deeper. There is a collective fear of death that permeates all of our lives. In response to this fear we have created more and more systems and policies to avoid the inevitable.

We all pay for healthcare because of this fear. So much of healthcare costs are accrued during the final months of life. We also have this view that everybody should be taken care of even if they don’t take care of themselves. costs and more costs…. eventually we still all die.

No child left behind – how ridiculous is that education policy? So now we slog people through all sorts of programs and drag them through college only to fail later or become marginal employees in some corporate machine. Wouldn’t trade school have served some of them better.

Jail: Our zero tolerance for crime has led to the largest prison population ever for a non slavery society. Criminals are very scary because they could injure or kill us and must be contained or so the thinking goes. Can our society really be that good if there are so many “bad” people. We’re losing this war too.

I could go on but I think you get my point. Until we face our own mortality. Until we realize that there are no guarantees for individuals, corporations or society. Until we face live and reality on its terms we will continue to create top heavy systems that will bring about the very thing we fear most. When it happens that way people will not be perpared. The surivors will create still more systems to protect them from life and the cycle will continue until we face our fear. It is a spiritual and psychological problem more than an economic or political one.

    Anthony
