Elder abuse is getting more press (Schwab, Barron’s, etc.) , and the senate is getting involved.

Sure seems like this issue could be used as wedge for the powers that be finagle control of estates.
You will be interested to look into Florida’s Baker Act. It’s a perfect vehicle for scamming the elderly (and many others ) in Florida.

Also though, it’s ripe for abuse of the whole family system. if the state takes over assets (directly or indirectly by appointing someone) then there’s endless resources and red tape to crush opposition of the kids who might already be care-taking to the maximum of their time and energy and financial resources.
