WAG THE DOG (!!!) all this week I’ve been wanting to re-watch that movie.
EVERYBODY needs to see it. It’s also incredibly funny and Dustin Hoffman is so fun.
Couple of things about Israel’s bombing of Gaza, they do warn the residents with fliers and Israeli soldiers have very strict rules before they can fire their guns. The soldiers are almost handicapped in their ability to defend themselves to the point where I know friends who wanted their kids to leave the military, former special service soldiers themselves. Having said that it looks like they are leveling Gaza. Most Israelis thought Sharon made a terrible mistake when they gave the land to the Palestinians.
Some other historical facts, in 1920 the League of Nations signed the British Mandate in San Remo, Italy which would have returned the land to the Jews almost to its Biblical boundaries. Briitish were supposed to act as trustees of the Land but under pressure from the Arab nations did fulfill this and the Jews remained in Europe and were slaughtered by Hitler ( and I will add the Americans who aided and abetted the Nazis too) .
After WWII the Union Nations which replaced League of Nations came up with the Partition Plan. At this time the definition of who was a Palestinian was anyone who spent two months in the Land between certain dates. Many of the Palestinians were Jordanians and Egyptians . The Palestinians turned down the Petition Plan.
Mark Twain described Israel as a wasteland until such time as it was declared a State.
In the Bible the biblical borders of Israel are much larger than they are now, except that Jews do not represent all Israel because originally there were 12 tribes and now technically the Jews represent 2 1/2 tribes, Judah, Benjamin and some Levites. The 10 tribes are mixed in the nations. In Ezekiel 37:15-28 the Bible says both houses will be restored at the end of days under a divdic King.
Throughout the Bible, the conditions for Israel staying in the Land were that they obey the Torah. When they didn’t they were exiled and after the reign of Solomon the nation was divided in two and the Northern Kingdom was exiled by Assyria and never returned corporately. Judah or the Southern Kingdom remained the visible remnant and was exiled for 70 years to Babylon and a remnant came back after and rebuilt the Temple. After Babylonia exile, Median Persian exile, the Jews went back in part and remained under the Greeks and Romans until the Second Temple was destroyed roughly 40 years following the death and resurrection of Jesus/Yeshua.
All of the prophets speak of a restoration of Israel in the last days and also many wars leading up to the Second Coming of Jesus/ Yeshua which is detailed in Zechariah 14 and Revelations. In Zechariah 12 the tribes of Israel will “look upon him who they pierced and weep as one wears for an old begotten Son”.
In Ezekiel which speaks of the Millennial kingdom the land will be restored to all Israel, all 12 tribes and there will be those who dwell among them.
The Bible clearly speaks of a time of total peace but prior to there will be all kinds of wars and 2/3rds of Israel will be destroyed by invaders with plunder rape etc. Regardless of your beliefs this is all outlined in the Bible, and even the prophet Isaiah said that the desert one day would bloom and that has been fulfilled.
That doesn’t mean you have to like Netanyahu. If you read Kings and Chronicles, Israel had a series of good and very bad and wicked Kings. Netanyahu is not a King.
Biblical prophecy is remarkably accurate and it’s entirely possible we are seeing the beginnings of the fulfillment of End Days prophecy along with all of the other economic, geopolitical events going on.
Without King Yeshua reigning there will never be real shalom in the Land.
Regardless of all fhe bad players the battle is very much a spiritual one. The bad news is that things will get worse, but the good news is one day hopefully soon things will get much better.

By the way, Netanyahu was on tape in Hebrew during Covid saying he wanted to “chip” the entire population. Now the hostage situation will provide a convenient excuse to “geolocate” lost babies and others.
Thank you Solari for having the courage to remain rational and level headed providing what appears to be the only analysis of recent events that didn’t make me want to throw up in my mouth. Everywhere I looked, a whine and cringe fest with no testicular fortitude to be found anywhere. The past three years had made me loose respect for a truckload of individuals who I thought had integrity, last week reduced the amount again drastically, not a bad thing really.
