The GENIUS Act Passes

with Darren Moore, Jr.

“The reason I’ve been bullish on crypto prices is because of its utility as an instrument of statecraft (dollar dominance via stablecoins) and as an instrument of intelligence (CIA money laundering), not because of any consumer use case or libertarian theory.”

~ Mike Benz

  1. Catherine;
    How can it be deflationary? Products don’t last, we’re lucky if we get 5 years without having to replace stuff. The phones are rigged to have to be replaced sooner than later. It’s stated in all the ‘read me’ agreements that whatever digital products we buy, they can remove from our cloud/phones etc whenever they feel like it.
    These throw-away products are destroying the planet. Similar to the damage beiing done by the new green-energy products. How is that deflationary?
    When they’ve finally finished creating the monopolies than the price gouging will really start. No more competition, no more choices, – take what we give you and stop complaining.
    How can it ever be deflationary? I don’t see it.
    Cash and checks will always be cheaper than digital. Always.
    When AI replaces most of the workers, and people stop thinking because AI will do it for them: How will that ever be deflationary? It doesn’t seem like we should be looking at deflationary from one perspective.
    I don’t see how cheap quality products, own nothing and rent everything, can be deflationary.
    What am I missing?

  2. Awesome discussion! It seems the challenge will still continue to be walking that tightrope between printing helicopter money, be it dollars or stable-coins, and inflation bubbles. If the “criminals” mess with that process, which unfortunately has been the case in the past, I don’t see how this will change things other than to perpetuate the debt model globally, as well as domestically, as has been the case… but now ushering in a cheaper way to do it with AI.
    All will increase $$$ to the central economic model making me think the glory days of the Mom & Pop entrepreneur and the “productive” economy may be over. Hope I’m wrong.

  3. Catherine, I just enrolled in an art 220. Meaning I am 72 years old and I do not understand anything. It is all computer and I never grew up with a computer in my hand. Now I have to hire a tutor to understand PHOTOSHOP. EVERYONE in the class understands the lessons but me. I cannot hear, I wear hearing aids that do not work and I cannot see very well.

    1. Just turtle. Amazing what you can learn – as uncomfortable as it may be to move outside the comfort zone. 🙂 Good for you!
