This week on The Solari Report, I will present the 1st Quarter 2018 Equity Overview. First, I will look at how the equity markets have performed this year and review the Blockbuster Chartology from Rambus.

Next, I will cover the likelihood of a “Rape of Russia” scenario in the United States as well an escalating war with Russia and what these scenarios may mean to your personal strategic and financial planning. What do you need to do to prepare? What do you need to make a real difference?

In Money & Markets this week I will discuss the latest US air strikes in Syria and geopolitical news and the impact on financial markets.

In Let’s Go to the Movies, I will review one of my favorites from our presentation on Space in the Movies – Battlestar Galactica.

  1. Any opinions on the shut down of Gulf Stream, Sun Spots, Little Ice Age. Weather manipulation rumors and information? Could this affect investment in the Northern U.S., Canada and Europe?

    1. I asked a guy in the navy several years back if we could manipulate weather – he said “I cannot confirm or deny that we can modify the weather”

      Tells you all you need to know.

  2. Because of the uncertainty – should Solari clients be applying for Social Security Benefits now if they are in their early 60s rather than wait for 5 to 10 years when payouts are higher and do so before 2018 elections?

    1. I took mine early, as I thought my reinvestment would produce better returns than waiting. Generally, I find that it depends on the individual – different circumstances. Since April 1, all bets are off. So I definately think recent events means the chances of the SS being reenginered are increased.
