1. About weeds, if you have rows, then you have to cultivate. But if you use John Jeavons’ biodynamic methods as in his book, Grow More Vegetables than You Ever Thought Possible… then you only weed a little early in the season. Go to his webpage http://www.growbiointensive.org/ His insights are profound, although many people don’t understand his system and how the parts fit together. I know that I didn’t the first time I read the book 25ish years ago. Btw, Jeavons is way ahead of the permaculture that I have seen.

   Also, Marcin talked about requiring changes to open source info to be put back into open source… Ja, ja, ja. I’ve got one word for that: f’getaboutit. 2. Since receiving Social Security checks over ten years ago, my husband learned that the Social Security Administration recently ran a credit check on him! Can you tell me what purpose or need the SS Administration would have to run a credit check? Since we have outside pensions and other investments, we are already taxed heavily on his social security money so it really is a means-tested program…but why a credit check? I thought credit checks on a person usually triggered when someone is try to borrow money and the borrower wanted to gage the amount of risk incurred. His credit scores runs for 780 to 800 during the few years. Any information you can give me would help me understand what need they have to this information since I am sure they can easily get any information about our income from IRS.

   1. SSA.gov says they run Experian to ensure you are you so it’s ok. Benefit administrators check that payees are still alive each year too.

      We will not share your Social Security number with Experian.Experian will only keep the information we share for the period of time required by federal laws, regulations, or guidelines.
      We will not keep the information that Experian provides us. Experian may use information from your credit report to help verify your identity; this may result in what is known as a “soft inquiry” on your Experian credit report.
      Your Experian credit report will show an inquiry by the Social Security Administration with our address and the date of the request.

3. Hello fellow Solari subscribers. This is off topic, but, I hope someone can help me. I am moving from Minneapolis to Portland, OR, and I am looking for a place “close in”. It is a tight market, and I am having a hard time finding a place. I am in Portland now until Tuesday August 13th looking for an apartment. I’m using Craigslist and after emailing or phoning at least a dozen places I only received two call backs. If you know of any great apartments (not the most expensive in the Pearl) coming up for rent for September 1st or soon thereafter please contact me at beth@bethknutson.com. I have an 8 year old standard poodle, and I’m looking for a one- bedroom, possibly a two-bedroom depending on the price.

4. Maybe a Human Resources member can comment on this IRS item that was done without a comment period This is only for 403(b) plans administration. The magazine Plan Sponsor apparently thinks it’s unusual. Is it a test for nor providing comment periods, or just a simple issue? already unerstand that 415 limits are Internal Revenue Code so a notice to participants seeems appropriate if they are approaching the limit.

   “In addition, Powell notes that the 415 provisions in Section 38 contain language stipulating that plan administrators will annually provide participants with written or electronic disclosure that explains 415 limits. This has not been previously required, and it is a big deal to add a new notice requirement without allowing discussion or calling attention to it, he says.”

5. Hello Catherine, maybe this will put some light on what’s going on in Dallas/Fort Worth and the surrounding

   There is a group partnership of private, public, and academic organizations called Vision North Texas. They have put
   together a very bold and impressive plan that engulfs a 16 county North Texas region. This plan is called
   North Texas 2050 and can be found on their site. Some of the names of the sponsors will jump right out at you.

   The game plan, North Texas 2050, hides no bones that this 16 county area will be self sustained and contained.

   At their 2013 conference the speaker was Dr. Richard Jackson from UCLA. The theme was Designing Healthy Communities.

   Maybe Catherine you might be able to get someone from this organization on your program. This particular undertaking in
   North Texas brings to light the flow of capital back and separate systems at work. Bringing in the new and leaving the old
   behind.

   I hesitate to say this but I believe it needs to be pointed out. If the map of the Simulated Reserve and Corridor System to Protect
   Biodiversity is to be believed and ends up accurately portraying the population geography of the U.S. sometime later in this
   century then ‘inside’ North Texas 2050 will be one of the few places where us humans will be living.

   Times are definitely changing.

   I listened with interest to your first & second interviews with Joseph Farrell on the Breakaway Civilization.
   In the second interview, a comment was made on the assassination of JFK as though today people are able
   to accept (& yet do nothing) that this was a conspiracy, & coup d etat. Oliver Stone made it seem so clear.
   What about the 9/11 “terrorist attacks” on the Twin Towers, & the Pentagon…___>__>_| |… (?)
   Have you seen the documentary film, 9/11 Mysteries ? If not, you can watch it on-line.
   Would you be willing to discuss the factual content, the empirical evidence exposed in this investigative film ?
   For instance, how can anyone explain the fact that both Towers collapsed to the ground (into their own footprints)
   in approximately 10 seconds…at near FREE-FALL SPEED ! This could only happen under a controlled demolition.
   Or the ridiculous collapse of Building 7 supposedly as a result of a minor fire (?) That building crimped & collapsed
   just like in a textbook example of a controlled demolition. It’s all there in the film, 9/11 Mysteries. Let’s talk.

   What is the potion or black-magic that is keeping us anesthetized ~ ?
   Or is there some diabolical machine like in the film, Rocky & Bullwinkle, that is keeping us as passive, mindless
   observers?
