To launch the new year—a year that promises to be consequential in untold ways—the Solari Report offers subscribers and our public audience its first-ever backcasting.
As defined by Wikipedia, backcasting is “a planning method that starts with defining a desirable future and then works backwards to identify policies and programs that will connect that specified future to the present.”
For our purposes, the year is 2030, and this is our “desirable future”: In 2030, freedom reigns planetwide, with the push for central control having failed miserably. Local currencies are flourishing, while lack of use slowly marginalizes the few CBDCs that were implemented. The World Economic Forum is bankrupt, and a depressed Klaus Schwab has retreated to his home in the Alps. Family and community prosperity is growing throughout the developed and emerging markets as economies decentralize—and as government enforcement, regulation, intervention, and taxation decrease. In short, there is much to celebrate.
In this backcasting exercise, our celebrants gather to share stories about what happened in 2023—in areas ranging from health to science to personal transformation—that turned the tide and made the difference in the powerful pivot to freedom.

Just watched Backcasting 2030, I loved it. What insight and awesome idea. I pray to expand this collective vision.
I think that was a good exercise, and I debated how I would characterize a victory in 2030. Honestly I think the low point in the brand we know as USA drifted slowly lower throughout the 2000s and came to a screeching halt with the obviously stolen election of 2020. I think it was at this point that even the dullest minds knew that winning by means of cheating is not the American way. It did not hurt that the cheating extended overtly in every way possible from the illicit government that stumbled and bumbled through the next few years. But eventually, the misbegotten ideas and ill advised programs of the neocons led to an overall revolt by the people, writ large. We realized that, just like what they saw going on against Vladimir Putin and Russia via Ukraine was going on against them and the West. At least 1600 athletes worldwide were found to have died in the primes of their lives on the field of sport, having been ordered to take the jab. Indeed we realized that we were targets just like anyone else who would stand in the way of what the WEF had in mind. However, Putin was a stalwart, and he and Xi Jinping found common ground against the Neu Schwabians when Xi realized that Taiwan was going to be another battlefield for the WEF, only with him in the sights of the gun. The Taiwan crisis was averted, with China calling on its ancient principles of moderate sovereignty and limited dilution of its culture. It formed new and equitable alliances with its neighbors, and resumed trade with the reformed USA, where first the Democrats, and then the Republicans fell as political parties. States, having to fend for themselves much more than in the past, sent popularly elected independent representatives (political parties were now in disrepute) to Washington, who associated with others of like mind, and began to form a number of small coalitions that we expect could become the basis for future parties, although it appears to be working without the parties at all, including all the baggage they require.
The JFK files were finally released, and this led to a complete dissolution of the CIA and FBI, which were each reformed as they were originally intended. Other intelligence agencies were similarly put out to pasture, and then reformed as departments under the surviving agencies. The process included a truth and reconciliation period, which served to bring out a great deal of hidden truth, solving many other mysteries to which the public had been the unwitting dupes for. The courts are all slated to be purged of political appointees, and there are no courts on which future recall is impossible. Sexual deviance, whether institutionalized or simply tolerated, became much less of an issue, as the public realized that it was a deliberate operation to corrupt and blackmail otherwise decent people. Overall, it is a return to the representative democracy which was envisioned by the founders. One man, one vote. All for one, and one for all, forever.

This is a really good idea, because if you have a goal and its clear in your mind how it will be when you have reached that goal – if you can see yourself there already – then its amazing how your everyday actions just seem to fall in place to move you towards that goal little by little everyday.
