Briefing for State Leaders: Preserving Local Control, Life, Liberty, and Property

April 29, 2025

“[I]t has become a self-governing imperative for individuals at the state-level to work collaboratively toward community through strengthening local food supply chains.”

~ Breeauna Sagdal, “Self-Custody: The Case for The Beef Initiative”

Solari’s monthly online briefings for state leaders are designed to support state legislators, elected officials, and engaged citizens working to preserve American freedoms. Note: In May—and continuing through the summer—we are pleased to open the briefings to the general public.

The next briefing will be held on Zoom on Thursday, May 8 from 2:00–4:00 pm ET. Catherine and Tim Caban will be joined by Breeauna Sagdal, Senior Writer and Policy Research Fellow for the Beef Initiative’s I Am Texas Slim (IATS) Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to championing local food supply chains, private property rights, the rights of the individual, and limited government.

In a November 2024 issue brief written as a set of policy recommendations for the Trump Administration, Sagdal and co-authors warned that “America stands at a critical tipping point,” noting that recent federal initiatives, advanced under the banner of “resilience” and “equity,” have centralized control over many aspects of American life—from local governance to private property rights.

The May briefing will explore how programs like the Justice40 Initiative, the Federal Plan for Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience, and various executive orders have quietly shifted authority away from local communities and private citizens, using grant conditions and administrative mandates to enforce ideological compliance aligned with global governance goals.

The discussion will cover the following key points:

  • The immediate risks these federal programs pose to American farmers, landowners, and local governments
  • How contract law has been used to bypass the 10th Amendment and what may be required to preserve life, liberty, and property in the near future
  • The interconnected policies impacting land use, water rights, food systems, disaster recovery, elections, and personal freedoms
  • Why urgent engagement at every level is critical

Please share this information with your legislators, local officials, and any citizens you believe would benefit from attending the briefing.

  1. Alex,

I havent heard of that individual, but I do have concerns about mRNA pig injections, as well as Roundup dessication of common grains (glyphosate torpedoes copper absorption by binding avidly and selectively at very high acidity in the GI tract) which likely causes chronic copper malabsorption irrespective of diet; unless very scrupulous.

Anything farmers and ranchers can do to alleviate these problems will help irrespective of centralization.

    1. Yes, I’m only just learning of the mRNA being pushing into swine, but that’s only possible due to small producers signing w/the conglomerates who ultimately put them out of business. With hog production centralized, dispensing whatever garbage into them can be done far more systematically than relying on independent producers to buy the poison from product reps pushed by Big Ag. That said, mass produced pork has been declining in quality since its inception, so best to stick w/a pasture-raising, small producer.

As for the beef industry – actions taken by producers *now* to thwart control grid efforts are the only thing keeping Cattle from going the way of Pigs and Chickens: sick, consolidated, and corporate controlled. We must support Harriet Hageman and Thomas Massie in their efforts to stop that.

  2. Regarding the beef industry – is anyone aware of or potentially connected with Corbitt Wall, with the National Beef Wire and DV Auction? He’s the host of a YouTube show called “Feeder Flash” and is tapped into the core of the cattle industry. When he airs grievances about issues like mandatory electronic ID tags (EID) for cattle (digital livestock surveillance), the big groups like NCBA take notice and lobby to counter him. Corbitt already advocates for decentralized cattle production, and would be an immense benefit to the fight for Liberty.
