Association between vitamin D supplementation and mortality: systematic review and meta-analysis.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31405892
A few years back i came across a meta-analysis that showed no reduction in all-cause for >800IU/d supplementation. So I advised 400IU/d to others.
There is a handy product “Vitamin D & Boron” from Swanson with 400IU. The literature on Calcium fructoborate is emerging quite strong, too.
https://www.swansonvitamins.com/swanson-ultra-vitamin-d-boron-60-caps
Vitamin D increases absorption of calcium and phosphorus, and you know what those commonly age-related dystrophic calcifications are? same stuff as arterial plaque and kidney stones… calcium phosphate.
Its frequently about getting to, and staying at, the top of the inverted-U.

We take D3 5000 IU/day last 5 years in smoothie with 40 other supplements.
Our Vitamin D -25 Hydroxy blood levels are 60 to 80 ng/ml perfect as per my wife MD.-
Correct, need to check blood levels. And we need to get sunshine without sunscreen, yet another health scam, sadly.
