Dear Catherine,
Please explain to me what this means. I have a few ideas but I’d love your take on it.
I hope you had a good trip back to Stavoren.
Thank you.

Smoke and mirrors. They use anything to hide the truth. Registering a profit without selling the asset in this case.
Just hope they will not do this to us: you bought the house 50 years ago with 30k. It is worth 1 mil now. you need to pay taxes for 970k profit. They already do this by taxing inheritance.
Thank you Sorin.
I understand all of this. I am questioning other effects downstream of such an act.
By the by… in my neck of the woods this is being done now. Property values are reevaluated it seems biannually. This is the great theft from housing bubbles. I have not realized a profit because I have not sold but the taxes increase continually because of the tax assessors declaring your property is now worth… whatever he says it is worth. In last years increase in valuation of property it stated in the notice not to bother questioning valuations…it’s a done deal.
Are there any good books on who did well in the stockmarket the day after 9/11 or other big disasters?
This is not 1815. The system already controls everything. They can move the markets as they want with or without news.
Good question. Will see what I can find.
For consideration: Windmills might bring more lighting to an already vulnerable electrical grid.
