CAF Note: During the Holiday Season, we typically have Money & Markets and Ask Catherine in the first two weeks of December. This December we will have Money & Markets in the first and the third week. We will not have Money & Markets and Ask Catherine in the second week and the Christmas and New Years Eve weeks. During this time we will be focused on the 2021 Annual Wrap Up. Money & Markets and Ask Catherine start in January on Thursday, January 6th.

Thanks for excellent commentary this week, as usual. 😉
I’d been thinking that the Rittenhouse trial was theatre, and was convinced when the defense had him testify. Maybe it was a bone thrown at the right/2nd amendment types as a safety valve. Also distracts from other things going on, like the failure of reviving global warming baloney in the US or the growing opposition to da covid scam or the Maxwell trial or all manner of things we don’t know. Wondering your opinions. Ty.

About Samsung’s new plant. The town does not have the water or power infrastructure for the plant. Samsung will have to pay for that. The timetable seems very aggressive for not only the size and scope of the plant, but also for hiring and training the employees.
Samsung was really wacked during snowmageddon. At first they were told by the city of austin that they would not have their power shut off. Then they were given only hours to shut down, which is impossible. It took months to recover from the damage. I’m wondering if they will have their own power plant for back-up, since many in Texas fear that snowmageddon may repeat on a regular basis. There was no need for the power outages. Total bungling, and maybe not by mistake.
Fascinating. I bet they are going to supply their own power – certainly back up.

The real threat comes from climate policy not climate change.
