  1. Interesting how the narrative (Trump shooting) started falling apart apart within hours. Is that on purpose OR is it because enough people have woken up and are not falling for it anymore?

No one in the coffee shop in my neighbourhood is talking about it. Are they under a spell or are they completely disinterested? It’s hard to tell.

  2. Two thoughts:
    1) Surprised no alt media flashing this as worth burying this week – even James R quiet which seems particularly odd. perhaps it really isnt what it appears to be from this

    2) Thank you for the beautiful wrap ups recently. You mentioned how
how you’d like to price the impact of AI this week. Dutch F&F reminded me that I have wanted to price the impact of a “windmill” for many years. My team tried to in 2020, but we didn’t have the data or bandwidth. Quite sure now one could, and suspect the environmental cost of the concrete alone (gathering and transporting ingredients all the way through to leaching into the subsoil for 100yrs) would outweigh any purported benefits of the entire project. I’d be very happy to lend your team a hand.

I dined with a Tory leader hopeful in November, and took her to task on Net Zero, and specifically the decommissioning costs for panels, turbines, batteries, etc that don’t seem to be in anyone’s sums ,asking if the poor old taxpayer was going to be bunged them as usual. instead of responding with curiosity or candour she went on the attack, and the 10 people round the table put away their cheque books. My key takeaway was that people need something “understandable” to translate the net Zero word salads and pretzel talk, and I wonder if pricing the environmental impact of a solar panel or wind turbine (from ashes to dust…) might capture the imagination.

    1. Great idea. I will keep an eye out for more on this. Nothing like one case study to bring the message home. My understanding is that a lot of the solar farms seriously mislead about the end costs.

  3. The CDC is at it again, resurrecting the evil Covid con. Video from Lincoln Karim, NYC on the ground documentarian featured in “The Legend of Pale Male”. Just watch the first 5 minutes of the CDC warnings, the rest is of crowds ignoring it to attend a show:

  4. On the heels of the staged Trump campaign event, I highly suggest CJ Hopkins latest newsletter titled The Civil War Simulation. Great take on the big picture.

          1. Oops. Sorry for the expletives on the second video on the link. Feel free to delete.

  5. In Edmonton (Alberta), you now have to register on-line to go to the pool. There are only certain times where admittance is allowed, but you’re allowed to stay as long as you like.

    1. I’m in the Edmonton area and yes they started requiring registration during Covid and it stuck I guess. I suppose it’s also a way to manage their capacity limits or maybe they’re tracking something, I’m not sure.

    1. John:

Alas, our opinion on Trump diverges even more. As described in Money & Markets this week, the various factions are organizing around Trump who is now well controlled to do the next round of control and centralization. Big difference between staging a photo op and bravery.

        1. I don’t underestimate the performance Trump gave. Hard to do. He did a great job. Wonder how many practice runs.

          1. Remember Trump was in WWF and Reality TV for decades. While not an easy “skit” to pull-off, with sufficient rehearsals, Trump slapping a blood packet on his ear on-cue is definitely possible. I just stopped by the local gun shop and asked the owner (Vietnam Vet) what his thoughts were, and his immediate response was, “staged”, and that Trump slapped a “blood packet” (his words) on his ear. It was interesting because I prefaced my question to him with, “I am sure you have been getting this question a lot this week”, and he told me “Nobody really talking about it around here at all- we all (meaning the loads of guys who work and hang out there) know it was faked”

          2. Let’s assume it is a real assassination attempt. If someone is shooting at you. You are surprised by it. You don’t know who it is, or how many? All you know is that there was a massive security breach; a bullet grazed your ear. So what do you do? Do you run for cover as fast as you can, or do you stand up and raise your fist?
