I am a student in Civil Engineering and I have taken several courses concerning water resources. I am concerned that WATER will become a next big problem in the future if not now soon it will be. With growing populations and a fixed amount of water supplies and the growing amounts of droughts accuring fights over the limited amount of water supplies will grow and how we as a country handle this and other issues will be crucial.
With water being a corporate commodity in today’s world, it too, will be used as a tool against us. Remember, you can’t destroy water, it just changes shape and location. Add to that, water in the United States is poisoned with fluoride in the name of tooth health, it maybe time to find a local company to drill yourself a well.
We have a nice dark blue spot on the Great Lakes. Too bad they’re polluted!! >_< Also interesting how there is hardly any water in the whole Mountain West.
