  1. John wasn’t sure which banks handled department store credit cards now and suggested JPM. My experience is that it is Synchrony Bank. My JC Penney card and my Chevron / Texaco card uses them. Stage Department Stores (& Beall’s) also used them before Stage went bankrupt a few years ago. WalMart was also using them until 2-1/2 years ago when they switched to Cap 1. Sears is different and uses Citibank. Even though Sears is gone, I think, my MC in their name still works, or I think it still does since I recently got on offer for 0% balance transfer. I haven’t used it in over a year.

I just recalled who the bean-hiders were that LIED about CAF in the Housing Affairs Letter (HAL) in the late 90’s. Thanks, ladies!

  3. Re how to overcome the sewage of mainstream media- I don’t watch it. It makes me angry. I get my news primarily online, but I do watch Tucker Carlson, and some local news. I felt the same way about Rush Limbaugh as I do about MSNBC, Rachel Maddow, etc. BUT I do watch MeTV on my rabbit ears. I love it at night. I watch MASH, Andy Griffith, Beverly Hill Billies, Perry Mason, etc. And “Schitts Creek” reruns on hulu.com. During day, I keep up with the Truthers online. Like solari.com,.Childrenshealthdefense.org, DailyClout.io, substack folks.

  4. Another great one! For me the point CAF made regarding the balance of power that exists between private gun owners and gangs/criminals is important because it keeps the these guys from running roughshod over us, is something I would not have considered…but so true!!!
