John Titus and Catherine Austin Fitts open with the U.S. 250th anniversary and preview Titus’s “War for Bankocracy” episode 4A on Alexander Hamilton, the Bank of New York, and private credit addiction. They discuss the Supreme Court allowing Trump to fire heads of many independent agencies while temporarily blocking the removal of Fed Governor Lisa Cook, and argue the Fed is treated as “special.” They review EIA and SPR data showing continued petroleum reserve drawdowns and predict potential post‑election energy rationing, alongside debate over U.S. logistics buildup in West Asia and commentary on JD Vance’s remarks about refilling oil stocks. They highlight surging sports betting and a large illegal wagering market, framing addiction as top-down policy, then cover Supreme Court bribery/gratuities doctrine, alleged Trump/Lutnick self-dealing, AI-driven power-sector M&A concentration, geofence warrant limits, hospital AI screening for intimate partner violence, Microsoft protest over Gaza surveillance, Albania protests, Cuba opening banking/energy to foreign capital, UK arson targeting Starmer, Axios’s Israeli ties, Trump tariff threats over EU tech taxes, AI-stock market concentration risks, and an NDAA provision integrating U.S.-Israel military planning delayed for two weeks.

The artwork for “Money and Markets” is outstanding. Thanks for the added enjoyment.
In conversation with my brother I just learned that he is presently unable to access his bank account.
Danske Bank has added some security features that his present eight year old Samsung phone cannot support. A new phone with similar or enhanced on-line capability will cost over £500.
And that will bring other problems with wifi in his present location.
In other news, a nearby car wash has gone card-only/smartphone. Since then I’ve only seen in use once. Often, there was a queue.
What is the Grail and whom do we serve? A Jonathan Pageau speech well worth a listen.

I thought about Andrew Bridgen when Catherine talked about David A Hughes referring to “sudden darlings”. He fits the bill quite nicely.
In fact, I would say that David A Hughes himself, is also one of the sudden darlings!
Sudden darlings do not struggle financially for their choosing this path. David is not a sudden darling. At all.
The older I get, the more extraordinary Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Dostoevsky are. I rememer being 20s thinking they were cool. They’re not “cool” anymore.
Maybe I’m finally becoming wise.
He and his brother Matthieu, I have never seen a pair of brothers so talented.
Watched it. Very good.

The way this Venezuelan earthquake is being reported on is absolutely shameful… they’ve known since the beginning that 50k+ are dead, but the media has been only trickling the death count. I think they don’t want people scared. The damage is beyond catastrophic, many angles show dozens of buildings collapsing at the same time.
