Money & Markets

The Inside Trader’s Apocalypse

Catherine and John open with the “inside trader’s apocalypse”—questioning insider trading, prediction markets, and what they see as a staged assassination narrative serving to distract from a costly White House ballroom build, while Vance pushes stablecoins and digital tokens.

On Iran, they track the escalating conflict: contested missile-strike and Hormuz reports, rising gas and oil prices, U.S. crude exports drawing down inventories, and a broader energy and financial war aimed at squeezing China’s energy and capital costs.

The roundup: Gulf states (notably the UAE) angling for Fed swap-line access; China ordering firms to defy U.S. sanctions on Iranian oil; Florida price cuts and rising fees; unrest in Germany; expanded Israeli propaganda funding and AIPAC’s spending against Thomas Massie; a massive Utah data-center power plan; crypto grifting and concentrated prediction-market profits; DTCC tokenization timelines; and what Palantir’s USDA deal means for food-supply control.

  1. Just to remind subscribers: Farmers storehouse all USA farmers, all organic, all non-gmo. They’re located out of Tn., but ship anywhere in the USA. https://www.farmersstorehouse.com/
Excellent resource for food, but also a way to ensure we take care of our USA farmers.

  2. using federated AI, the single, top-level installation doesn’t necessarily have to be large

  3. SPAN is building out a small home based data center with battery backup and solar using NVDIA chips. Supposedly no cost to the home owner, no extra electrical cost. Kind of a distributed data center.

  4. From Patrick Wood just posted excellent piece. Looks like he is correct!
    https://www.technocracy.news/the-china-card-global-technocracy-is-emerging-under-trumps-reign/
    Start of the article:
“There is no race with China. China is not our arch-enemy. Forget multipolarity. The CCP isn’t Communist. It is a Technocracy, and birds of a feather flock together. Trump and the arch-Technocrats who are in China are not there to “give America away” but rather to fold China into the global Technocracy. They have boxed China in. Any other narrative will fall to the ground when you open your eyes to Technocracy. A white paper from this author will follow soon. ⁃ Patrick Wood Editor.
Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, at 35,000 feet, the future of the global order was being quietly decided. On Air Force One, President Donald Trump sat with two men: Elon Musk and Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia. The rest of the delegation — sixteen of America’s most powerful corporate executives, representing every critical node of the modern technological economy — followed on private jets. That seating arrangement was not protocol. It was hierarchy. And it tells you everything you need to know about what is actually happening in Beijing this week……”

    1. Thanks for the tip on Wood’s article. Wood has done some very good work but I’m not sure that he is right in this case. It looks like China has been trying to go it alone with limited success, but after our embarrassing performance in the war with Iran (and in the war on Russia) I think that the world smells our rotting corpse and will be less likely to submit to being bullied in the future. China may not be able to take us on but Russia is quite capable if need be and they seem to have China’s back.

  5. “selling the story and not the business”
If you haven’t done so, you both need to read Anthony Trollope’s The Way We Live Now.
There’s nothing new under the sun, even when it comes to open, blatant, bald-faced fraud where everyone knows whats going on but buys and promotes “the narrative” in the hope of reversing their fortunes and not have to reign back on dissipation.

    Don’t watch the movie.
