Money & Markets

The Inside Trader’s Apocalypse

Catherine and John open with the “inside trader’s apocalypse”—questioning insider trading, prediction markets, and what they see as a staged assassination narrative serving to distract from a costly White House ballroom build, while Vance pushes stablecoins and digital tokens.

On Iran, they track the escalating conflict: contested missile-strike and Hormuz reports, rising gas and oil prices, U.S. crude exports drawing down inventories, and a broader energy and financial war aimed at squeezing China’s energy and capital costs.

The roundup: Gulf states (notably the UAE) angling for Fed swap-line access; China ordering firms to defy U.S. sanctions on Iranian oil; Florida price cuts and rising fees; unrest in Germany; expanded Israeli propaganda funding and AIPAC’s spending against Thomas Massie; a massive Utah data-center power plan; crypto grifting and concentrated prediction-market profits; DTCC tokenization timelines; and what Palantir’s USDA deal means for food-supply control.

  1. Money & Markets has become unlistenable for me, it might as well be called Money & Markets with John Titus stepping all over Catherine Austin Fitts (who’s the one I actually subscribe to and want to hear).

    1. I have the opposite opinion. I like it when people can disagree then talk it out. This is my favorite show on all of Solari. Other shows or reports are excellent, but this is the only one I go to on a regular basis. If it were just Catherine, I don’t know if I would watch as much – there is a good chemistry. Also, when things are not clear, they ask questions of each other to clarify. Many time, they are the same questions I would have asked to understand things.

      1. John is both an attorney and engineer and can smell a lie a mile away. I find his insights constantly invaluable is helping me understand current events and the deeper trends. I have had numerous knock down drag out fights with Solari team members and allies. They are always about one thing – me trying to stop low integrity people or narratives from harming our subscribers, audience and the Solari team. I have never had such a disagreement with John. He is always about helping us find the truth and protect our network.

        1. I agree with Faye’s post and Catherine’s response. John has a different MO than Catherine because of his training and jobs. But the two viewpoints go together perfectly IMO. Kind of like arguments I have with my son who is an attorney – I tend to me more “big picture” like Catherine but he’ll come at me with a deep dive into the facts. Sometimes, to my irratation, I even have to admit he’s right 😉

        2. I have nothing against John, I just wish he wouldn’t interrupt you all the time. You’ll be going down a very interesting road, and John will interrupt you right in mid-sentence, and boom there goes that conversational thread never to return. It happens so often it’s become unlistenable for me. Since John probably won’t change, I need to check out some of your other stuff, but I really liked money and markets. Just being honest.

          1. I’m still thinking about when Catherine goes into her observations around Germany’s fall. With little to no disclaimer, John cuts to a brutal clip of German police absolutely pummelling a woman, and injects somewhat snarky commentary around it. Who knows if that woman even survived without lifelong injuries. I could tell that Catherine is shocked, as she attempts to pivot the conversation back. But the thread becomes diluted and lost. It is one of the better analysis shows out there, but I do understand your meaning. Have mixed feelings myself.

    2. Am inspired to write a detailed response to this one. Have a couple of deliverables so may take a bit.

      1. One other thought came to mind after re-watching the May 7th Money & Markets on the subject; the analog of the Sovietsky Hotel in Moscow being upgraded(with the datacenter below the “lid” and build out of technocracy) in the US(at the White House).

Check out this covert magazine article on the subject: ‘According to his Son, Civil Rights Icon Paul Robeson Was a Victim of CIA’s MK-ULTRA’ : https://covertactionmagazine.com/2024/02/25/according-to-his-son-civil-rights-icon-paul-robeson-was-a-victim-of-cias-mk-ultra/

“At the time of his drugging, Robeson Sr. was staying at the Sovietsky Hotel in Moscow, where he had gone after a trip to London in which he had visited Eastern European embassies and met with a top aide to Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first post-independence leader who was overthrown in a CIA-backed coup in 1966.”

      2. Yes. Obviously the datacenter under the ballroom like all data centers for the CIA Total Information Awareness Program that was/is privatized by big tech (most notably Palantir) is going to be used for surveillance and intelligence gathering(and part of building out the control grid). I doubt it is for Donald (even if he thinks it is). It reminds me of the drone operators running operations in the basements in Las Vegas. Donald probably thinks of the betting and hosting of “deals” in the ballroom/”lid” (which he sees as where the power is due to his narcissist Dunning-Kruger).

  2. Can you check out the YouTube channel “The Chine Show” with two guys who lived in China and show the reality of what’s going on, their claims to technological advance and politicians are completely fake. They seem to be genuine and bring videos from inside the Chinese internet. It is eye opening.

  3. Catherine, I appreciate you pointing out that these data centers are being designed to control resources. Helps me feel a bit less alone with all this AI hysteria. I’ve been putting together the following hypothesis. The black projects that this AI came from most likely would have some sort of antifreeze solution for cooling. Yet all we hear is… water water water, they need our water. This, combined with the post 9/11 ‘national defense’ argument, is providing justification to privatize our water. You also mentioned that other countries are scaling these data centers more cautiously. Not only does China have more efficient LLMs, but they plan more rigorously, as to where AI should be implemented, and how to best minimize impact. The US isn’t doing any of that, it’s just a Project Stargate free for all. I think that OpenAI and Anthropic deliberately have less efficient LLMs, since deconstructing the US has always been part of the plan. Same problem reaction solution scenario. They’ll say, we need resources for national defense, to power all this great Palantir tech so we can win wars. Oh and by the way, you’re part of the problem, since you’re hooked by our manipulative chatbots / gen AI. You say you need that water / electricity to survive? We know, we’ll just tokenize it all, and trickle it out through programmable money. Problem solved. Couldn’t resist the sarcasm, it’s all so infuriating and hard to take. Especially when most around you just can’t see it.

    1. Given what stablecoins and digital tokens are designed to do, the size could in part be driven by a global control grid all of dollars and financial assets globally.

      1. Interesting, that makes a lot of sense. I’ve often wondered what the digital bridge connecting countries would look like. Perhaps the bridge is the US data center project itself?

  4. When the dust finally clears, I am convinced the Trump family will reappear in a newly renovated Gaza resort, which will conveniently block extradition.

    1. Possible. If they Iron Bank needs them as a scapegoat, maybe not. You have to admit Trump is going a great job for them.
