1. The Israel Palestinian situation is extremely complex. When I hear discussions about it I have the feeling that the spiritual aspect of the conflict is not being considered and granted the show is called “Money and Markets”.

   While I totally agree that Netanyahu allowed the attack to take place by removing weapons from the moshavs and Kibbutzs and did not protect the border, it is very true that many Palestinians want Israel wiped off the map and talk about making the sea red with the blood of the Jews. I have known people that believed this until they came to faith in Yeshua. One in particular who shared, “I used to think the only good Jew was a dead Jew.” and was completely transformed by his faith in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua.

   The only peace plan that will ever solve this is Yeshua. the Prince of Peace. No UN division will work and anyone who has visited Israel will recognize that any Land division is absurd. It’s about the size of the State of New Jersey and all of the “holy places” are claimed by both the Palestinians and the Jews, like Hebron for example where all the patriarchs are buried. The Christians also claim certain sites as well and it depends which Christians you are talking about. It is so unbelievably complex, there is NO human solution.

   It should not be lost on anyone that Al Aqsa Mosque is sitting on top of the site where the Jews believe the Holy of Holies is located and Orthodox Jews want to rebuild the Temple and are just waiting for the right moment so they can reinitiate animal sacrifices. The Muslims believe that Mohamed ascended from there though it is not written in the Quran.

   All of their instruments and furnishings for the 3rd Temple are ready to go but the Mosque is in the way of Orthodox Jews who believe they need to reinstitute the sacrificial system.

   It’s impossible to look at what’s going on without examining what the Bible has to say about the Land going back to the time of Abraham where it was promised and in later passages where it talks about “latter day” battles which will be awful. Ezekiel 37 &38, Zechariah 12 & 14 come to mind as well as many others. In the Book of Revelations peace will be taken from the earth.

   As for a two State solution in the book of Joel God says he will enter into judgment with those who divide His Land and scatter His People, even though he himself used those very nations to chastise Israel.(Babylon, Assyria, Greece, Rome) in the last days he says he will have compassion on them and circumcise their hearts and bring them into their Land. ( Deuteronomy 30)

   Personally I believe we are entering the days that the Bible speaks of where we will see judgements coming on the entire earth. God is the God of Israel for a reason and his plan will be to glorify his name when he fulfills his promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ( Israel) but that plan was also so that the nations would see and believe in him too. He does not change. Much of Israel is scattered in the nations and doesn’t even know who they are. . They too will be coming back. (Ezekiel 37:15-28)

   The Bible says God did not chose Israel because they were greater than the other nations but for the sake of HIS Holy Name.

   In the years to come, He is coming to reign from Jerusalem and all the nations will come up and worship him there. .He says that those who know him in spirit and truth will receive resurrected bodies.

   Yeshua was the first fruits of the resurrection and those who believe will pass from a perishable body to imperishable. It’s important therefore to understand all what is going on from the perspective of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelations.

   1. This is an excellent summary of my thoughts and feelings. So well expressed. Please accept a big Amen from me! It is spiritual warfare and the Bible foretells the chastening and restoring of Israel where Jesus Christ will return to save and redeem His people. The Old Testament is full of destruction of the wicked and restoration of the repentant. Saul lost his throne when he brought back spoils from a place God instructed complete destruction because he knew the remaining evil would grow and spoil if left intact. I don’t always understand His ways but I trust Him to know His creations better than I as one of many. Thank you. I’m saving this to share. It’s a perfect expression of my thoughts and feelings.

Barbara, the only lens that makes sense to me to see this through is the spiritual one and I agree, some things in the Bible we have to accept on faith because we don’t always have an explanation that makes sense to us mere mortals, like when God tells Israel to go destroy an entire people. And how about Paul speaking this about our Creator:
         cHas the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump done vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?

            Personally, I don’t believe Joseph’s back in the Land yet.

            2. I too am searching and researching with much prayer. The Bible is the foundation of much great literature, including the Constitution. It is an exciting book and seems to reveal new truths on a daily basis.

2. Ukraine started a 20% tax on real property. There are ongoing protests in all the cities. Citizens are not happy with the government. They’re circulating pictures of homes and addresses of officials on the Internet with comments about their new swimming pool on their meager salary.

   Soldiers are refusing to go into battles. The officers are fine with that if the soldier pays them $1,500 for each refusal. (That’s how they do things in Ukraine).

   Even before the war, the government had a $60,000 death benefit payable to a deceased soldier’s family – which were never paid. Deaths were fairly common because of land mines from prior conflicts. That empty promise is more obvious with so many Ukrainian families losing their relative and his soldier’s pay. The officials make excuses for not paying – for example, they claim the soldier was drunk when he was killed.

   The wealthy and the poor have left Ukraine. The middle class remain but they’re being squeezed with high prices and taxes. There is no work, jobs are mainly in health care, military and liquor.

   A Ukrainian general gave a birthday gift to his aide – an expensive bottle of liquor and some hand grenades. The grenades have a shiny, smooth covering and the aide thought they were toys. When he pulled the pin he was killed and his son critically injured. Ukraine media picked it up when the wife called for the ambulance and the story is out in Ukraine. News media in the US didn’t report all the facts, leaving the impression that it was an assassination – by Russia no doubt.

   1. Thanks for posting Pam. This is in line with the scenario I expected. It is going to be a hard winter in Ukraine. Europeans and US should prepare for such a scenario as well if we allow the conditions of sovereignty to collapse.

   1. Historically, it may have been easier to cheat with multiple-choice exams than essay questions. But we now have ChatGPT for essay writing.
   2. Are apprenticeships more or less expensive for students than law schools? Would all lawyers do apprenticeships? If not, what would motivate some lawyers to do apprenticeships? Would there be price differences for students (e.g. US vs. foreign) for apprenticeships? Would lawyers use LSAT standardized test scores to accept apprentices, and/or would they use subjective criteria for apprentice admission?
   3. Could the subjective criteria for aspiring lawyer admission include background checks and “social credit scores” that are derived from a range of digital sources, including social media, speech, financial transactions and known associates?

The real question is, why would anyone in their right mind take anything from Pfizer except an admission of guilt?
