The Incredible Shrinking Patsy

In this episode of Money and Markets, John Titus and Catherine Austin Fitts tackle a range of pressing issues against the backdrop of the ‘Incredible Shrinking Patsy,’ a metaphor reflecting the U.S. military’s declining power and increasingly absurd narratives.

They discuss various geopolitical conflicts, including the U.S. military pivoting from Russia, Middle East tensions, and the implications of renaming the Department of Defense to the Department of War.

The conversation also delves into the influence of the mega-rich, economic disparities, and the systemic challenges faced by small businesses and the general populace. Key discussions include the questionable future of U.S. brand influence globally, legal ramifications of changing institutional names, the ongoing war in Ukraine, and the troubling impulse control issues among global leaders.

  1. Is it true that there has been something passed which makes it illegal to boycott Israeli businesses, and that there is some legislation on the floor calling for the revocation of passports from anyone criticizing Israel? Also, did Congressman Brian Mast really wear an IDF uniform into Congress? I am beyond concerned.

  2. “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.” ― H.L. Mencken, In Defense of Women (1918)

  3. Catherine- You make a great point about how “they”are looking to create more events that cause civil unrest and division, that ultimately destroy a society. Watching the awful event of last week unfold, I am not shocked that political figures and the narrative of the story is back to a divisional theory of Christian vs transgender ideology. I am very interested in your analysis next week, albeit dreading it as well. The manufactured story with a new patsy- it’s much larger than the fishing boat, and much much, so much more evil.

  4. On the bright side I believe the Solari silver coin has maybe doubled, or more, in value since it was sent out. Too bad it is a keepsake for me. Of course it could hit the stratosphere. Always felt this was such a nice gesture though the point of it, I surmise, has been to bring home a point.

  5. Thank you both for an excellent M&M
Very high compliment from my husband when he heard John make a great point- “I like that guy.” He was beaming with a large smile then followed up with how wonderful it is to hear the two of you talking “unfettered”. Mentioning that you are only accountable to your subscribers and that you all can get to the facts- we both are thankful for you both! Keeping my sense of amusement and always grateful!

  6. Your comments on Zuckerberg apply also to Musk, Bezos etc.

The “tech titans” are nothing but employees.
