This 6-pillar curriculum teaches the basic literacy we need to be personally and financially successful and to do so in a manner in which together we evolve a culture that supports the emergence of an advanced human civilization.
In this episode of Money & Markets, Catherine and John dissect the week’s most sensational stories.
Their discussion ranges from the theater surrounding Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the FBI’s perplexing statements to deep dives into global financial maneuverings involving the Fed, the ECB, and Swiss banks considering a move to the U.S.
Catherine and John also discuss the escalating crisis in Ukraine, the rise of new deadly opioids, and innovative pushback against attacks on saturated fats and privacy-eroding “safety” measures like Flock Safety systems. Tune in for a comprehensive look at how current events are shaping the economic and political landscape.
An American friend wrote me on the subject: “ Please, everyone in UK and America, continue to sign ANY petitions objecting to a digital ID. Talk to your neighbors. Ask them “please dont fall for the ‘convenience’ of ID. Convenience can easily lead to outright slavery, for PRIVACY is absolutely a prerequisite for LIBERTY.”
I have an important historical, financial and property situation being affected by it.
I don’t have a “real id” my license was renewed during the lock downs in California. We’ll see how it goes if I say I don’t care to have a real Id, I am just looking to renew the driver license. I haven’t traveled yet to a country where they want finger prints along with the face captures. But I will tell you they get pretty testy at TSA when you say, “I don’t want my picture taken.” They are marginally more polite when you hand them a CAC card and say you don’t want a picture taken.
As an investor, I need to comprehend Trump’s stablecoin ambitions. Is a write-up available? I apologize for placing this under the incorrect heading. Thank’s Aleda
Watch the Stablecoin briefing for legislators and watch or read transcripts to Mark Goodwin’s series and read Tobi’s article on the Genius Act.
What do you mean? Don’t understand.
A few years ago Michael Burry had sold off a lot of his stocks but reserved the private prison investments. Not sure I would speculate illegals are not being deported somewhere. For awhile it was a great investment to import illegals now it is a great investment to deport them.
My two cents on the value of the dollar. The concerns about the “brand” is a bit duplicitous. In a multi polar world, what do expect the “brand” to do? Tariffs, which theoretically do two things, increase revenue and encourage internal sourcing of products seem to be somewhat successful. Revenue generating but American’s are more than willing to continue to spend more on themselves. Until there’s enough discomfort for the middle class, actual reinvestment probably won’t happen. If Mr. Global pivoted to multi-polar world, which I think he did. He has also accepted that the localized agitators are less helpful at this time and is willing to push to enforce lawfulness. Mr. Global doesn’t need riots to interfere with business.
However, at the end of the day, the middle class couples with no children by choice in their 30s and 40s are comfortable. The work unit went to a PMR (program management review), I was in a SUV with 4 of them driving from SoCal to Tuscon. It was stunning how much they spent on themselves. All of them are double income households ($300,000+). And how many basic decisions were made by digital devices, “GPS told me to drive this way.” They are not having children because “life is too costly, but we are thinking about it.” They are not having children because they love being the center of their own world – a digitally cultivated personalized experience with very little that can’t be afforded. As an aside, the concerns you think are issues (toward the front of the M&M this episode), well they are not on the radar for these kiddos.
Appreciate the feedback. Yes, remarkably narcissistic the group you describe.
While I wholeheartedly agree that we should not be funding and otherwise participating in the slaughter being wrought against Palestinian women, children and other non-combatants (this is a dishonor to us and a stain on our souls), I vehemently disagree that the crimes of Islam are a matter of something that happened “two centuries ago”. The Anglo-Zionist Empire is willfully using Islam as a scourge against us in the West in their program of what the late Sam Francis called “anarcho-tyranny”, thinking that they can control Islam in the end when they are done using it against us in the West and in Russia. The Muslims joyfully join in this enterprise, raping and enslaving our women and children (like in England and throughout Europe) and abusing and even killing any and all in the West over whom they can wield power. The Jews also persecute Christians and have always sought to poison our civilization to death. They always have woopsie moments whenever they attack their neighbors in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria, where they “accidentally” hit Christian churches and communities, causing great destruction. The “christian” zionists support this program, as Eastern Christians and Catholics are not true Christians in their conception of the term.
I heartily recommend the following books on the subject:
The Myth of the Andalusian Paradise: Muslims, Christians, and Jews under Islamic Rule in Medieval Spain by Dario Fernandez-Morera (The author also discusses the usually ignored role of the Jews in Spain facilitating the Muslim conquest and the perfidy of the Talmudic Jewish “saint” Moses Maimonides (for whom hospitals are named in this country) in his recommendation that Christians should be physically harmed or killed whenever it can be gotten away with.)
The Sword of the Prophet : The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam History, Theology, and Impact on the World by Serge Trifkovic (An indispensable guide to, what George W. Bush termed “a religion of peace”.)
The Decline of Eastern Christianity Under Islam : From Jihad to Dhimmitude : Seventh-Twentieth Century By Bat Ye’or (This is an excellent book but Ye’or, an Egyptian Jew, overstates the “betrayal” of middle-eastern Christians by the Eastern Roman Empire. The Empire was not in a financial or military position to prevent Islam from overwhelming them at the time of its rise. Ye’or has walked back some of what she writes here in subsequent books. A common reaction in academic circles to stay employed and relevant.
A Thousand Years of Jihad by Thomas Fleming and Frank Brownlow (A very entertaining collection of stories from the never ending conflict between Islam and Christians (available from Amazon or fleming.foundation in paperback or Kindle).)
A petition against the introduction of Digital ID in the U.K. is approaching 2,000,000 (at the time of writing). https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/730194
