Money & Markets

Assets and Citizens and Allies, Oh My!

In this episode of Money & Markets, Catherine and John return from a brief hiatus to tackle a wide range of pressing financial and political issues. They start by discussing the implications of Treasury Secretary Descent’s new financial strategy under Trump’s administration, which directs foreign investments into U.S. industries.

The conversation extends to controversial AI-driven decisions in Medicare and the legality of firing Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve, raising questions about executive authority and congressional oversight. They also delve into the geopolitical ramifications of U.S. tariff policies on countries like India and Germany’s hesitation to send troops to Ukraine, reflecting broader shifts in international relations.

They also touch on Israel’s struggle to recruit soldiers amidst internal shortages and controversial favoritism towards American soldiers serving in the IDF, highlighting tensions and ethical dilemmas. The impact of AI on legal rulings and the increasing risks associated with cryptocurrency investments are also significant points of discussion.

Wrapping up, they explore the rise in cost of living for American citizens, the potential for stablecoins to transform global finance, and positive actions like the United Methodist Church’s decision to divest from bonds tied to illegal occupations. Catherine concludes by emphasizing the importance of maintaining a sense of humor and perspective as they navigate these complex and often troubling topics.

With Tucker Carlson and US Senator Ron Johnson on board for the Washington DC 9/11 Anniversary Conference, will the 9/11 truth movement finally get to the truth—that “Israel Did 9/11,” as Wyatt Peterson’s article convincingly argues? https://truthjihad.com/2025/09/03/ffwn-24-years-of-9-11-lies-with-wyatt-peterson/

  2. Hi Catherine, I’m a real estate agent in Florida in a upper middle class/wealthy enclave on the east coast. If there is any information you would like from me…feel free to reach out. One thing I have noted is many buyers are predicting a crash in home prices. While I agree that our current pricing isn’t sustainable in normal market conditions, I don’t think we’ve had normal market conditions for a long time. The real estate “gurus” that I follow are predicting a major wave of housing demand on the basis that the Millennial generation is the largest generation in history and they are entering home-buying years. But what I don’t think these “gurus” are factoring into the equation is a.) Millennial’s ability to afford homes and b.) deflationary effects on population numbers as a result of the great poisoning.

To the first point, I wanted to compare the median household income to the median sale price of homes over the past few decades. I could only go back to the 1980’s in my quick search. I found in 1984, the median household income was $59k and the median home price was $80k. So annual income as a percent of the median home price was 74%. In 1984, someone could save 10% of their salary and have a 10% down payment saved within 16 months. That ratio has declined every ten years since. In 2023, the median household income was $81k and the median home price was $427k or a ratio of 19%. If a person earning the median income saved 10% to put towards a downpayment, it would take them 64 months or over 5 years. This increasing gap between income and home prices, plus high debt levels from student loans, means the Millennial and younger generations are facing unaffordable housing. Therefore this expected large wave of demand isn’t going to materialize without significant balancing between incomes and home prices or subsidization of home purchases. If they want to get to 2030 “where we own nothing and are happy”, one way they can do it is by keeping home prices up and interest rates relatively high to keep the younger generations out of housing.

There is growing frustration among the younger generations about housing affordability and other economic stress. I’m seeing memes and social posts about Baby Boomers buying houses for pocket change and selling them for millions while Millennials are saddled with debt and high rent. I’m posting a link below to an Instagram post by a girl who has gained over 1 million followers. This post is a cover of the song 1985 but rewritten for 2025. In it, she sings about the government lying, AI in school, too much screen time, our food being poisoned, and housing affordability, etc. (Warning – there are some curse words towards the end of the song.) She also posts about struggling to become pregnant. She appears to have had a lot of plastic surgery and jokes about it as well. This account is a little microcosm of the Millennial generation (which I am part of). I found it interesting because I think it captures the essence of how Millennials feel. They know something is wrong but they’ve been so brainwashed and poorly educated that they can’t find the right solutions. I think the real opportunity to shift our country’s course is reaching the younger generations. They don’t have the Red Button problem because they don’t have any significant wealth to worry about losing by pushing the red button. The risk is many in my generation are looking for solutions by turning to the same perpetrators who caused their pain instead of new solutions. I think there is a real opportunity for the Solari Report and other freedom fighters to target the younger generations. 🙂

    1. Very much appreciate the insight. What I am trying to figure out is how the Administration is going to lever up the increase in housing equity. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  3. Respectful suggestions: Stop talking about the specifics of the war in the Ukraine. You don’t know what you are talking about. For instance, it is not Russia’s goal to take Kiev. Go to the stated objectives of the SMO. They haven’t changed since the SMO started and have been repeated repeatedly over the years. America doesn’t listen. American analysts see the “war” in terms of territory acquisition. Russia does not.

    1. Allen, I have friends who are high up in the both Russia and Ukraine. I lived in Ukraine. I guarantee, that the Russians absolute intend to take ALL of Ukraine. Frankly, many see it now as a fait accompli. Ukraine is not really a separate nation. The west around Lviv which is actually a separate ethnic group, is Catholic instead of Orthodox and speak a different language. But Ukraine and Russia share almost everything else in common. If you read Russian literature, it speaks of cities in Ukraine as part of Russia because it all was. They speak the same language, go to the same churches, listen to the same music, watch the same TV. . . It is going back to Russia and the Russians absolutely 100% believe it is rightfully part of there history and sphere of influence. They may have a military peace where they throw a coup in the government while nominally calling it a different country. This was the status quo up until 2014. They were definitely interested in pushing out the Orange Revolution crew from 2004 , and they did because they feel it is part of Russia. It doesn’t matter what these YouTube personalities say, they are theater.

    2. Allen:

Have been watching Alastair Crooke regularly for more than a year, including through Napolitano’s website and have invited him on to the Solari REport.

Have used clips from them several times in NTS and M&M. I watch Johnson too but not as much as Crooke.

Neither John and I have viewed what is happening as real estate acquisition by Russia. And we have often returned to the stated objectives. We have seen Russia’s primary goal as protection of Russia as they have described.

However, I do believe that if the clearance hypothesis is correct, it represents interests who do have land and resource goals.

      Hope that helps,

      Catherine

  4. You guys spoke a bit about the progress in Ukraine. But Russians are not worried about about occupying Ukraine as they will bring a better peace. The Ukrainian hate their government – truly. They hold Moscow in about equal esteem. But this is a video of the conscription gangs in Ukraine kidnapping men. What is the most interesting about this is how locals react when they see it going down and usually try to stop the kidnapping. All conscription is a type of slavery. Even if they press these guys into the military, how motivated would you say they are?

  5. As a Canadian, I now have to get a US digital ID to send mail to the US. Brilliant! Mr. Global now has stolen the data from every postal service in the world.

My American colleagues are refusing to provide homeopathic remedies to my American patients for liability reasons. There are really only 3 main homeopathic pharmacies in the States (Washington, Hahnemann labs, and Ohm), and their high potency stock lists leave a great deal to be desired. And, by high potencies, I’m using the term very generously. A 10M or 50M isn’t all that high!!!

It goes to show how incredibly fragile our human (and thus, retail) systems really are.

Anybody have any brilliant ideas? Or do I just cave to the inevitable?

  6. Howdy.
Catherine a few days ago you did a X post “The trap Trump has laid before Powell”. After seeing how quickly the E.U. leaders jumped over the pond to have a White House pow wow with Trump followed by the 33 (I think) high tech leaders with Gates on one shoulder and Zuckerberg on the other shoulder of Trump I have to wonder if they all have fallen into a Trump trap.
In 2017 I shared with you more and once that Donald Trump impressed me as a trapper, a Davy Crockett, who did not track his prey, but simply set up camp and waited until the jackals found him to attack. In the last 9 years the jackals have tried all sorts of ways to bring Trump down, but it seems all their many efforts has been brought into the sunlight for the public to witness. We now know Russiagate was orchestrated by HRC with Obama assisting with the coverup. Other scandals are ready to pop into the sunlight with hard evidence introduced by many whistleblowers. Over the coming months I think we will see more information about the 2020 elections, Jan 6th, ActBlue, laptops, and autopens.

My question to myself is “why all these efforts to stop Donald Trump from being in the White House? How does Donald Trump threaten the shadow government? Or is this a global issue of governance?

Seven Germany’s AfD candidates just died right before elections, France government just collapsed, the Prime Minister of England was asked to leave the House of Commons, and Alberta is thinking of breaking away from Canada. And I think Tulsi just closed the other 4 eyes. Looks to me there are major political changes developing in Europe, probably to the right. As Russia is grinding the Ukraine military into the ground, Europe is on the verge of collapse.

IMO what is at stake is a dramatic change of order where Great Britain has lost centuries old control of governance of division. The upcoming meeting between King Charles and President Trump could be serving notice the old rules of governance has changed.

Catherine, when you are between exit 7 and 7A on the NJ Turnpike say “hello” for me.
