Money & Markets
Assets and Citizens and Allies, Oh My!
In this episode of Money & Markets, Catherine and John return from a brief hiatus to tackle a wide range of pressing financial and political issues. They start by discussing the implications of Treasury Secretary Descent’s new financial strategy under Trump’s administration, which directs foreign investments into U.S. industries.
The conversation extends to controversial AI-driven decisions in Medicare and the legality of firing Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve, raising questions about executive authority and congressional oversight. They also delve into the geopolitical ramifications of U.S. tariff policies on countries like India and Germany’s hesitation to send troops to Ukraine, reflecting broader shifts in international relations.
They also touch on Israel’s struggle to recruit soldiers amidst internal shortages and controversial favoritism towards American soldiers serving in the IDF, highlighting tensions and ethical dilemmas. The impact of AI on legal rulings and the increasing risks associated with cryptocurrency investments are also significant points of discussion.
Wrapping up, they explore the rise in cost of living for American citizens, the potential for stablecoins to transform global finance, and positive actions like the United Methodist Church’s decision to divest from bonds tied to illegal occupations. Catherine concludes by emphasizing the importance of maintaining a sense of humor and perspective as they navigate these complex and often troubling topics.

I hope John knows that the “cholesterol causes heart disease” psyop is an obvious scam that unfortunately almost every MD falls for. Do NOT worry about you cholesterol “numbers,” and NEVER take any drug to lower your cholesterol. Stations are part of The Great Poisoning. They cause dimentia.
Here’s a fact that we learned on the first day of neurobiology in college: most cholesterol is in the brain because cholesterol is necessary for neurons to function. And these peops who call themselves doctors think you should have low cholesterol?!? As you age, your cholesterol should go up.
Auto correct typo: statins cause dimentia.
I am involved in many estate sales. I am not called until the residents have passed or moved to special care. When we arrive to facilitate the sale of personal property and real estate. We always find a series of drugs in these homes and medical devices. There is a clear pattern of poisoning the that always involves statins, blood thinners, blood pressure meds, and anti-anxiety drugs, type-2 diabetes and the machine for sleep apnea devices. We end up throwing away bags full of bottles of drugs. So much goes unused. It just sits in drawers. In a few rare cases, the people are still living in the homes, or in the process of moving out. They are all so broken with drugs, surgeries, chemo, radiation, weekly visits for testing.
For type-2 diabetes, and sleep apnea, there are devices. It appears this stuff is sent to these homes and never get used. We end up throwing away unopened boxes of finger-prick things, and the face mask for the sleep apnea. Tons of needles laying around.
Once they get diagnosed, the consumables just keep coming whether they use them or not. I have emptied entire bedrooms full of unopened boxes of medical consumable stuff.

On the bright side, I read this book and took my 91yo mother-in-law off these drugs and within days she began planning for Friday on Monday. Before that, she didn’t know her name or mine. She would call me Francesco? Why I don’t know. Down side, it didn’t stick, she had been poisoned for far too long (Dr. Andrew Kaufman consult) with the same series of drugs mentioned above. Statin, blood thinner, blood pressure meds, anti-anxiety drugs.
Maybe, if you get people off these things early enough, and detox them, they might recover. I could not detox my mother-in-law. An old woman from Italy who spoke very little English and was not going to let me run here through some strange detox protocol. She just was not having it. She didn’t know I took her off the drugs. As I would take her off one, I would replaced it with sugar pills, vitamins, salt tablets… I just couldn’t get anything into her that she was not familiar with. So she never fully recovered.
What we noticed:
When I took her off statins, she began thinking again. (this was noticeable) She also stopped shuffle walking and was lifting her feet off the ground when she walked like normal.
When I took her off the blood thinners her pains went away. (this was noticeable)
When I took her off the blood pressure medicine, (this seemed to be the most damaging to her body) her moods evened out.
When we took her off the anit-anxiety drugs. Not sure here. Maybe the moods evening out were part of this too.
Who knows what these drugs are really designed to do?
I did this over a few months. Little by little.
About two years after taking her off these drugs she began to retain water, first her wrist, then ankles, then one evening she passed in her sleep. Once she began to retain water, she slowed down, stopped moving. My sense is this was the damage from the blood pressure meds. I could never get her to drink water either. In those last two years she did not have any of the debilitating pain that would send her to her knees. I think this was the blood thinner. Her memory never really recovered, but it did in a sense. She no longer had these moments of hysteria or what appeared like deep fear, she was more balanced. She became much easier to care for, and smiled more once we took her off the drugs.
By my way of thinking. They tortured my mother-in-law, then killed her. Murder
Thank you for this. I’m sorry.
Catherine, you presented “Palestine” as a model. Eurocrats have sold european citizens as an indentured slave force to the USA. Europe will be sucked dry to the bone, even if its citizens don’t see it yet. Don’t agree, you will get the Palestine treatment.
@Catherine, regarding the discussion about packages from the Netherlands to US, I am in Switzerland and it reminded me of a notice I received from the postal services here about this issue:
“Dear customer,
As a customer who made international shipments in 2024 or 2025, we would like to inform you of future changes in U.S. trade policy. U.S. authorities recently passed a decree that profoundly changes the customs procedures applicable to goods shipped to the United States.
What changes
As of August 29, 2025, all shipments of goods will be taxed from the first dollar (except gifts of less than 100 USD), while a customs exemption of 800 USD was previously in force.
Customs duties must be paid before the entry of items into U.S. territory, directly from U.S. customs.
Temporary suspension of shipments
In the absence of a delay granted to postal operators to adapt their computer systems to new requirements, La Poste temporarily suspends shipments to the United States and associated territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, Mariana Islands, American Samoa and Minor Islands) as of August 25, 2025.
What remains possible
The following shipments are not affected by this measure and remain authorized:
✔ Mails containing only documents
✔ Mail and packages containing gifts with a total value of less than
100 USD, shipped by individuals
✔ The entire Chronopost range”
Same here for the UK. A week ago a complete ban was suddenly imposed, with no prior warning, despite it being obvious that the Tariffs/De minimis exemption.
Then, just as suddenly things could be shipped after a couple of days. Except there was a charge of £1.50 – or so the computer said.
Thank you so much for this intel. You are doing better than the Netherlands. I could not mail two thank you notes to the US from the Netherlands.
Here’s an article talking about this issue:

My heart Soared when I heard that you will ultimately start a University!
Best news I’ve heard in a long, long time!
Thank you.
Agreed: I’m middle-aged, but sharpening my pencils since I heard that:)
Enjoy,

Dear Solari team 🙂 I trust you are well
By the way are all new thumbnails AI made?
Also more importantly, the state of affairs in Italy (where I just moved back to) is tragic: small independent business – closed, churches – empty, local population – very old or not Italian, people’s awareness of root cause – not aware ->state of fear instead of fraternity. Skies – early morning spraying; water sources – redirected and chlorinated. SIM card – unavailable unless passport+proof of residency+selfie video. If it weren’t for tourism, I believe the place would have imploded already. “I have a bad feeling about this”. May the force be with me.
It was great to see you both back.
That comment about a 14% “discount” when exchanging US$ into Euros is giving me pause for thought.
I’m thinking that there is more to that story. Something else is underway.
Yup. Would love help investigating
Today I withdrew via an ATM 100Euro for a cost of 88GBP.
Nothing unusual except no receipts were available.
That is interesting. Thanks.
