Originally from the pen of Sandi Patty, one of America’s finest gospel singers, our Music of the Week is a 2025 recording of “Via Dolorosa,” a timeless classic of Christian music that Patty sang in English and Spanish. The new version again combines English and Spanish and the voices of Grammy-award-winning gospel singers Fred Hammond and Khristian Dentley, and opera singer Gabriel Preisser.
This is what can emerge when two excellent traditions of music combine. A triumphal version of an epic song, here provided also with lyrics and imagery.
