Most likely the biggest driver to privatize Medicare, God forbid, is that the medical costs Medicare pays for is far, far below the excessive level that plunder capitalistic P. E. owned health care companies can devise. If you look at what Medicare pays hospitals for procedures, tests and surgery, it’s below the levels that can be extracted and that are extracted by private health insurance companies. I can say from personal experience tests are short changed to surgical patients on Medicare to save dollars when possible and when it’s suspected further testing probably won’t change outcomes.
Can the plunder teams extract value by simply promising but no delivering the services? Seems to me that would be the way for them to do this.
