  1. Numbers in from the Alberta government about the Jasper Park fires: estimated cost: $700 million.
This number is insanely high. However (!), our holiday spot in the Park is undamaged and is re-opening soon. I’ll have a much better idea what the locals are saying in September.

  2. Catherine,
Thank you so much for introducing we Solari subscribers to the 2 books on Private Equity : Plunder by Brendan Ballou and These are the Plunderers by Gretchen Morgenson. They each have a unique approach to the subject and it was important for me to read both books.
My experience in reading the books was like the Titanic crashing into the mighty iceburg – a very rude awakening! Amazing the extent psychopaths and profiteers will go to to make money – so much so that it threatens the very health and prosperity of humanity.

If we don’t know the reality of the tremendeous criminality structured into our financial organizations and how it affects each of us on a daily basis, we can’t change it or protect ourselves from it.
Lindsey Graham said we need to stay in Ukraine b/c it has so much wealth (trillions) within its borders and we (the elite) must have it all just for ourselves. We can’t let other countries have it no matter who or what is destroyed along the way. Sounds just like a Private Equity model.
