  1. I already have nothing but loathing for network news and television in general. I’m not sure what more to do to give Google and Facebook a big up yours -don’t use them either. I block their cookies and beacons. The internet kill switch long feared is to blunt but choking alternative media revenues is a very precise…

    Let’s unpack this for a moment and pretend that truthful journalism is really what Google and Facebook are after. If that were the case, they would need to cut off the revenue streams of CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS, and all of the other mainstream news channels — you know, the same ones that collectively manipulated us into accepting the Iraq War and the subsequent regime change policies that have killed millions in the Middle East. And, see, that’s precisely the reason the mainstream media would never be held to these kinds of standards: they are a division of the State Department; they help manufacture consensus. You see, their “fake” news is important; the government’s fake news is real news.”

    2. The whole mess is so perverted there is no other thing to do but simply withdraw as best we can. I still use one Google Search. Will look for a way to let that go in 2017.

  2. FYI, Catherine. There is something very wrong with a law that allows non-citizens to be law enforcement officers. This idea that government officials can be non-citizens or dual citizens is simply wrong. One cannot serve two masters. This is another thing that Trump should change.

      This is part of the effort to assert strong centralized control by stripping the state and local line of any independence. If I was the Colorado AG, I would have taken to the Supreme Court. IMO the federal government can not order a state to reverse such a requirement let along a Sheriff’s office. Yes, this is something Trump should consider.

  3. Report on the ground from Laramie Wyoming. Met up with a local business owner who employs a lot of college students. Some of which went out and protested because their professors were offering extra credit to every student who did.

  4. The RT series, A Century of War, is thought provoking but the conclusion is somewhat startling as the future holds NOTHING for those individuals who are only capable of repetitive tasks. Not everyone is creative nor do they have IQ’s high enough to be part of the innovative group that will be required to work in a labor force that is continually decreasing. In a 1970 class in Conservation, we discussed the idea that the labor force would have increasing leisure time which would put pressure on our park systems and that there would be a need for additional outdoor facilities. In no way did we see how fast this would evolve into a system that would not require people at all. It explains how the super elite, the Bill Gates, et al, would come up with ways to decrease the population through the most heinous means.     As someone in the oil and gas industry, I would like to point out that we are in no way actually close to peak oil, that fracking will NOT soon deplete our oil and gas capabilities, but that our future must be to cooperatively invest in cleaner methods of burning fossil fuels while at the same time developing alternatives that put us into the next Kardashev level. The existing pressure to destroy our existing fossil fuel sources will not bode well for our economy and little producers like our group are compelled to go to Washington to make our case to cease the overburden of regulations on the producers and allow us to provide local (US) supplies. These regulations have often resulted in greater environmental degradation through improper containment and well abandonment. The cost to the state of Louisiana in 2014 for roughly 3000 orphan wells could be as high as $225million. In some instances however, should the cost of recovery be possible (they estimate the cost per barrel would have to be above $60), many of these orphan wells could be opened up, not plugged, and finished out, providing taxes to the state. We must stop thinking that all oil and gas operations are environmentally unsound and allow these producers to provide reasonably priced US produced fuel to take us into the future.

    I have been traveling through China for 2 weeks. I am in Beijing now till Sunday. I tried logging into Solari but the site banned. I guess you’re doing something right…?

    Traveling through China is a huge eye opener. This country’s boom is non stop. I visited 4 cities from a smaller manufacturing town to a 2nd tier big city to a quiet sea town with big manufacturers, ending in the country’s capital.

    The middle class growth is astronomical. Every where I see big construction for middle class housing. The middle class are buying new construction housing. Jobs are plentiful. People are out shopping and dining. Families own at least 1-2 cars. It’s impressive. The country is all about productivity. The media reports are on the TTP negotiations with the President-elect, rebuilding the Silk road to Africa, and trade deals with South American nations. The Chinese are busy and it’s global. It’s such a shame America is not as productive.

    An interesting report, a Philippines president was in trouble for deaths relating to drug trafficking. He complained that the UN has done nothing to help and if China and Russia formed a new world order, Philippines would join them. I thought that was so telling….

    I would have shared with the community but couldn’t. That’s another talk in the media, China’s open and “safe” internet. I wonder what they mean by safe?
