A Day In Haarlem

By Catherine Austin Fitts
Some Dutch friends invited me to visit Haarlem outside of Amsterdam to see the the Grote Kerk or St.-Bavokerk – a Protestant church and former Catholic cathedral located on the central market square. It is the home of an extraordinary organ which was playing when we visited.
The center square was full of people having lunch, enjoying the cafes and the farmers market. After lunch we stopped by the Teyler’s Museum and stopped by the all natural drug store Van der Pigge.
Haarlem was originally granted city status in 1245. Yes, they have had a long time, but they certainly figured it out!

It’s one of our families favorite cities. Beautiful Gothic architecture. We recently went to some of the towns on the Eisel river with similar heritage. Holland / Nederlands are a set of beautiful countries with a great population and easy to get around if you fancy a roadtrip.

Could not agree more. This was my first chance to get to know the Netherlands. What a marvelous place. I was just out at Stovoren for the weekend. Wonderful!
