A blue jay has been appearing in the back yard. My friend Nina says she has never seen one in her garden before. She says the bluebird of happiness is following me around.
Nina has a big grey cat who is quite the hunter. He comes to sleep in my room at nights. He has not managed to hunt and catch the blue jay.
So in this small, beautiful world, for now we co-exist and all is well.
