Book Review: Cancer and the New Biology of Water by Thomas Cowan, MD

“Don’t only practice your art, but force your way into its secrets, for it and knowledge can raise men to the divine.” ~ Ludwig van Beethoven
By Catherine Austin Fitts
President Nixon launched the War on Cancer in 1971 when he signed the National Cancer Act. This opened the floodgates of federal dollars into the disease industry. Many decades later, the financial flood continues. A recent NIH study estimates that U.S. medical expenditures for cancer in the year 2020 will reach at least $158 billion. That does not include, of course, the billions destroyed in family lives and wealth.
The pharmaceutical and biotech industries are clearly winning the War on Cancer.
In Cancer and the New Biology of Water, Dr. Thomas Cowan presents his case as to why the longstanding theories of what causes cancer are not correct. Dr. Cowan describes cancer as the result of a deterioration in our cells and metabolism. He argues, “the root cause is metabolic dysfunction that deteriorates the structured water that forms the basis of cytoplasmic—and therefore, cellular—health.” He reviews a number of promising treatments and calls for research on them. One is deuterium-depleted water, which I have been using for several years on the recommendation of Jason Bawden-Smith. Another is Quinton Plasma, which I was inspired to start using as a result of reading Dr. Cowan’s description, including of his personal use.
I found this book to be as much about how to support healthy cells and metabolism as about treating cancer. Dr. Cowan writes well and is passionate about his topic. He wishes to know the inner mystery of wellness and the role of water in it. He wants to make these mysteries accessible to his patients and readers. This is a book for those of us who want to take responsibility for our health.
In this day and age, amidst “the great poisoning,” exploring a lifetime of learning by an experienced healer is a welcome respite. It is a reminder that while evil men destroy, good men can build up and bind.
Civilization can work, particularly if we are healthy.

I told you the metabolic theory of disease is quietly becoming front and center. Reich, Bechamp, Warburg, Szent-Gyorgyi, Meerson, Ling, Correa, and Pollack will be vindicated.

Yup. I don’t know if you picked up on the Sheldrake video – The Rebirth of Nature. Struck me as I listened to it that we were in the midst of the death of the material/machine model. That a living model must emerge.

Thanks for always creating massive value! Steve and I have been studying about the difference between germ theory and terrain theory lately. I am excited to add this book to our discussion. At first glance from your review, it fits into the terrain theory and has now gone to the front of the list for me to read.

Yes, you will really enjoy this one. I am scheduled to interview Dr. Cowan in June – let me know if you have questions!
