Cheney Pressured Bush to Authorize Use of Military on US Soil

Former Vice President Dick Cheney pressured President George W. Bush and other top administration officials to deploy US soldiers to a Buffalo, New York, suburb to arrest suspected terrorists, according to a report.
Using American soldiers for domestic law enforcement purposes would have been unprecedented. The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 generally prohibits the armed forces from acting in a law enforcement capacity.
I simply don’t believe this story at all. If they wanted to breach Posse Comitatus they would have, there would have been no disagreement amongst the political calls, except perhaps on such mundane matters as timing, scope, and ancillary propaganda. Furthermore, I don’t even believe that POTUS/VPOTUS are even high enough level to be involved in decisions such as this, they are just generals given marching orders by other actors.
It seems that its now simply politically correct to bash the neo cons… and Cheney is such a tasty target for the public.
Or, maybe this matter is being brought into the public consciousness now because they will use a left-wing shill to do the dirty deed rather than the right-wing shills that preceded them?
Or, perhaps the neo cons did infact breach Posse Comitatus covertly, and by revealing this fact now to the public it gives cover for more overt breaches by the left-wing shills at some future date?
We’re just going to have to wait and see how this story develops and where it takes us before we understand why it is being brought into public consciousness, especially by left-wing mouthpieces such as Marc Ash’s Truthout.
I have no problem buying into this as true but we will never know and its past history, but the point here Bert is the government is really up to no dam good , if your not under any suspision the Feds are up to no good then your really not up to speed and you need to stop dreaming and wishing this stuff is not true
JC, Perhaps I did not make myself clear in my initial comment, but I do NOT believe the story because I do NOT believe that:
1) the POTUS/VPOTUS possess the power to make this sort of decision;
2) these sorts of disagreements would ever occur at that level of the ruling class, as they are all clearly in alignment in their objectives and any potential dispute is merely propaganda for public consumption.
