Chinese New Year 2022 – Year of the Tiger

2022 represents the Year of the Tiger, an animal that symbolizes strength, power and prosperity in the Chinese zodiac.
Chinese New Year 2022 falls on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, and celebrations culminate with the Lantern Festival on February 15th, 2022.
Celebrations last up to 16 days, but only the first 7 days are considered a public holiday (January 31st–February 6th, 2022).
Tigers are the third of the Chinese zodiacs. According to legend, Tiger was confident that no one could compete with its speed and vigor for the celestial race that would decide the order of the zodiacs. However, when Tiger climbed out of the river, thinking it was first, it was informed that Rat placed first for its cunning and Ox placed second for its diligence. This left the king of the jungle having to settle for third place.
Like their eponymous zodiac animal, people born in years of the Tiger are vigorous and ambitious, daring and courageous, enthusiastic and generous, self-confident with a sense of justice and a commitment to help others for the greater good.

Ms. Fitts – we just listened to your Nov 2020 answer, why I’m an optimist – it was quite fantastic, thank you for re-posting it. And we highly recommend it to everyone – it’s an hour plus but will pay dividends for eternity; it’s such a great personal reveal by Ms. Fitts, it feels super special to hear it.
Notably we will recall and focus on the point you made repeatedly that God has infused into His creation the rules of Wisdom, and that we must follow those rules, or else we (our words not yours) will be flattened by them (which is what we all hope/expect will happen to Mr. Global and his ilk). We are deeply grateful you are an unabashed Christian and are not shy in sharing how you are shaped by His wisdom, and by his angels and miracles — thankful also ’cause you and your team are sharp as tacks and are willing to help us, lead us, educate us, show us the way — trying to keep grounded and in the fight (10,000 year war), knowing this is spiritual but also material, in that we need still to provide for our family. One question for the veterans here, as a newcomer – we feel overwhelmed at times by all the new content, and don’t know where to start, or where to first go when new content comes out, to make sure we get it all; any tips or ideas?
Thanks again — may God keep and bless you and your team!

阿门!阿门
阿门!阿门!阿门-
哈哈, this is definitely a loanword.
But for some reason the simplified 門 character is coming out weird above…?

Hmmm.Don’t know how to produce characters without going to Deep L

As a linguist, I LOVE, LOVE DeepL (and its counterpart Linguee)!
I just checked a copy and paste of it from DeepL and then also using Linux-based Chinese keyboard software. They both come out 阿门 here… not sure why… should look more like 阿門, except in simplified form. Hmm. Anyway…
