Common Sense May Sink ObamaCare

This is big, what’s happening. President Obama appears to have misstepped on a major initiative and defining issue. He has misjudged the nation’s mood, which itself is news: He rose from nothing to everything with the help of his fine-tuned antennae. Resistance to the Democratic health-care plans is in the air, showing up more now on YouTube than in the polls, but it will be in the polls soon enough. The president, in short, may be facing a real loss. This will be interesting in a number of ways and for a number of reasons, among them that we’ve never seen him publicly defeated before, because he hasn’t been. So we may be entering new territory, with new struggles shaped by new dynamics.

Let’s hope Ms. Noonan is correct and that common sense (or what is left of it) will prevail and sink Obamacare. Obamacare, in my opinion, has NEVER been about healthcare, it is about the biggest power grab over individual liberty by this upstart Marxist. If he were to prevail in this “takeover” of the health of each individual American, he would have to do little else to forever end liberty in this country. Privacy would be at an end, dictate as to every matter in one’s private life would be the rule, substandard care the norm, and most ominous, it would force social complicity and funding of the draconian, unethical, anti-human, anti-life practices of abortion of all varieties on demand and euthanesia by government fiat. Before anyone is tempted to question what this has to do with you, first look around, seek out and look into the eyes of a young child, and again into the eyes of an elderly person, perhaps your parent, grandparent or even a stranger. Seek out the humanity in those eyes and then seek out your own. Anyone who supports Obamacare, in my opinion, by definition,has lost his or her humanity, is detached from the continuity of life, from its fundamental value and from the Creator who loves each and everyone of us.
