Congress plans to spend $550 million to buy eight jets, a substantial upgrade to the fleet used by federal officials at a time when lawmakers have criticized the use of corporate jets by companies receiving taxpayer funds.

Make sure the itineraries, manifests and other travel documents are public.
Make sure there is a fighter escort.
Make sure the flight crew identities are known, checked out, and published regularly.
Make sure the electronics are “hardened” and shielded.
Or have them hail a cab.
Wonder how much I have to donate next election cycle to get a free ride to DC?
At least the money is being spent on tangible assets, which is a whole lot better than flushing it down the Wall Street toilet.

the old emergency shelter is closed now. I wonder how much that cost the taxpayers? I’m glad their preparing, while they “Don’t Care About Us”?
